Product Description
The guitar that everyone’s asking for — The Reverend Charger RA! With a Railhammer Hyper Vintage Humbucker at the bridge, a Railhammer Nuevo 90 at the neck, flame maple tops and dark roasted maple necks, this guitar is fierce.
Features
Railhammer Pickups
Rails under the wound strings provide tight lows, while poles under the plain strings deliver fat highs. This innovative design from Reverend founder Joe Naylor offers exceptional clarity and punch, ensuring you get heard loud and clear!
Roasted Maple Neck
Roasted Maple is heat-treated at over 300°F to remove sugars, moisture, and impurities. The result is a lighter, more stable neck with a beautiful caramel color that requires less seasonal adjustment and boasts a rich vintage look.
Korina Body
Korina (or White Limba) is a medium-lightweight wood prized for its consistency and tonal qualities. Commonly found in boutique and vintage instruments, Korina is a key factor in producing our lively, responsive guitars rich in harmonics.
Bass Contour
This passive bass roll-off tightens up the low end or re-voices the pickups, making a humbucker sound like a single-coil or giving a P-90 that classic twang. Variable pickup voicing is at your fingertips!
Pin-Lock Tuners
A thumbwheel under the tuner pushes a steel pin up through the post, locking the string in place for exceptional tuning stability and super-fast string changes.
Initialed Headstock
Each Reverend is hand-initialed and serial-numbered on the back of the headstock by one of our skilled technicians who set up, inspect, and test every instrument.
Thin Finish
The finish on a Reverend is thinner than most production guitars, allowing the body to vibrate freely for a more resonant tone. Our UV-cured finish is 100% dry from day one, unlike vintage-style nitrocellulose finishes that can take years to cure.
Custom Dome Knobs
Our proprietary knobs feature a lower profile to reduce accidental adjustments, and the white dot allows for easy visibility of knob rotation.
Boneite Nut
We use "Boneite," a synthetic bone nut that offers greater consistency than natural bone. It reduces friction, allowing strings to slide smoothly through the nut slots, enhancing tuning stability.
Triple-Tree String Tree
This patent-pending string tree holds down three strings at once with a single tree, eliminating G string buzz in the nut slot.
Dual-Action Truss Rod
Our dual-action rod adjusts in both directions for back bow or forward bow, ensuring correct adjustment regardless of string tension, climate conditions, or long-term aging. It’s conveniently located at the headstock for easy access.
Six-Bolt Neck Plate
Two extra bolts increase neck mounting pressure by fifty percent, resulting in a stronger neck connection that improves sustain, tuning stability, and alignment.
10% Poly Caps
We use caps with a ±10% rating, while typical caps are ±20%. Our polyester caps are made to tighter specifications for greater consistency, longevity, and reduced temperature sensitivity—commonly found in high-end boutique guitars.
Custom Jack Plate
Our proprietary jack plate features four mounting screws for added durability, preventing it from tearing out of the body. Made of steel, the laser-etched logo adds a touch of elegance.
Pure Tone Jack
All Reverends use an upgraded jack from Pure Tone Technologies. Unlike standard jacks with single contacts, the Pure Tone jack has dual contacts for improved grip, audio signal, and reliability—making it the most dependable guitar jack available.
Treble Bleed Circuit
Every Reverend guitar includes a treble bleed circuit that preserves treble when you roll back the volume control, preventing the dull sound typical of standard volume controls.
10% Pots
We use Alpha control pots with a ±10% rating. Compared to typical pots rated at ±20%, our pots are built to tighter specifications for enhanced consistency, making them standard in all Reverends and typically found in expensive boutique guitars.
