Bass Filter Pedals
Bass Filter Pedals
Bass filter pedals are used in two different ways. The first is to narrow your sound into a specific frequency range, making it pop in among other instruments; a great way to 'turn up' your bass, without actually raising the volume. The second is to capture the classic quack sound heard throughout funk and R&B genres.
You'll want to set your controls to be even more intense, as the filter will kick in depending on your playing dynamics. Hit a string hard and you'll hear a much more pronounced tone. Octave pedals work in a similar vein without affecting your EQ.
