Product Description

The JT-4000 Micro is a hybrid modelling synthesizer, featuring the sound of the 80's. These sounds have been used by artists such as The Prodigy, Depeche Mode, Gary Numan Orbital and many more, but now you have those sounds within your pocket and at an amazing price point. Powered via a USB-C connection, you can play and create anywhere with a power bank and a pair of headphones.

Key Features:

  • Bite sized lunchtime jamming:
The JT-4000 is a powerful synth that can literally fit within your pocket, or in your lunchbox to jam out to on your break. But don’t let its size fool you, make those sounds and record them on your track when you get home. Every time is synthy play time.
  • Classic Sound engine:
Behringer have captured the sound of the 80's in this micro format, these sounds were famous for their use in Techno, D&B, Hiphop and synth pop. in the 80's they used a Supersaw waveform which allowed huge sounds to be created and became a Trance powerhouse. Now all these sounds are within an affordable and tiny package!
  • Analogue Filter:
This tiny device includes an analogue filter, this helps to warm up your sound and give it that analogue feel whilst keeping its compact form factor.

TBH who could be without one of these for the price.? Great value for money, reasonable sound. Not great in the "looks" dept but a very capable little box in all essence

You'll never get better value for money. It's a tiny little box, with masses of tweakability. Not a great UI (and what do you expect from something that small?), but there are third-party software editors which work well and the tiny OLED screen is surprisingly informative. I wasn't really expecting a lush Roland sound, and I didn't get it. But what I did get was a very usable alternative to my other hardware snyths. And as I say, it's cheap!

Tiny synth with a big sound. Having used the original Roland JP-8000 and JP-8080 back in the late nineties and early two thousands you’re not quite getting the classic sound, but for less than £50 this little beast is well worth getting to recreate those early Trance sounds. There’s enough controls to keep sound design interesting for seasoned synth wizards, without it being over-complicated for synthesis newbies. Be aware that the Behringer software is only for updating the firmware and storing patches, but there is a third-party app. available to adjust parameters on a computer if you’re not into parameter diving on the synth itself.
