It's an excellent product. Great sound from a tiny box. You get the best from it when you attach it to you computer to edit the presets.

The Amplifire is just awesome. We bought 3 since we have 3 guitarist and went on stage with them just hours after getting them delivered safely to the venue. No complications and really easy to use. Tweaked them a little bit for the following days and they sound amazing. Like tube amp amazing. If you want a decent tone in a small package and don't need all the detailed nuances of the Axe-Fx or the Kemper you should go for this.

A great bit of kit - first class amp sims and very good effects too. I am configuring a midi foot controller as the 3 foot switches is a bit limiting and looking forward to the increased flexibility that will give.

Exceptional piece of kit. Easy to use, sounds great and is great value for money compared with other modellers!!

Cons:
- 90% of the built-in presets are HORRIBLE (e.g. SLO presets sound like a shaving kit / cheap 80s ****** amp), you really have to edit your own stuff
- Built-in IRs sound very much alike and aren't really top notch (usable, though)
- Only two modelled OD pedals, two of which sound pretty much alike and _very_ Tube Screamer-ish (honky mid-range bump)
- No clean boost OD pedal -> you have to do some semi-heavy-duty editing to use an EQ for that
Pros:
+ Everything else, as per the Anderton's excellent vids :) Especially the base amp models are at worst perfectly usable (Vox, JCM800), at best _really_good (Friedman, Rumble, 5051).

Outstanding little pedal. I feel I've finally got myself a 'Bassman' so I'm stoked.

Highly recommend the Atomic Amplifire, I've had line 6 pods, hd500x etc, I've had Axe Fx through to an Axe Fx 2 XL, and i honestly prefer this little beast to them all! Its is light and very study, has more than enough models for me. it sounds absolutely stellar! the a-b mode switching is a great way to get more presets into a set list. i either play into an Alto Ts112a, which sounds great, but i also have a Fryette Power Station which i use as for a power amp to cab set up using the 1/4 inch out. im in tonal bliss! enough talk, going back to jamming!

Regarding to the price level, the Amplifire is an unbeatable device. Not as good as a Kemper or AxeFx, but much better than a midrange tube amp and a standard microphone. For me it works at the rehearsals and as a live backup for my Kemper. Good piece of gear !

The Atomic Amplifire is a high quality multi effects unit comparable with the best and units more than twice the price. It's compact size makes it very versatile as a standalone unit or part of a pedalboard.
The manufacturers are great people who care about their product and their customers.

The item is the one thing which was missing for me as a recreational musician, sounding amazing, being simple to use and being so inspiring.

Not having the finances for an Axe FX or AX8 I had to find something that would replace my Cornford MK50 MKii and TC G-System and give me believable tones that sound like Gilmour. Initially I thought that I would have to put my TC Nova system in the Amplifire's effects loop to cover the effects but the Amplifire's effects are just as good as the TC ones and it means that my pedalboard has shrunk from 3ftx 2ft to around 8 inches X 6 inches. The sounds are amazing and the unit plays well with other pedals in front if you really need them. Independent outputs to both FOH in stereo and an on stage wedge monitor in mono mean that I have everything covered. I can't praise this unit enough, and at less than a third of the price of a Axe FX I think it will soon take off.

Great Pedal. I played a POD HD 500 before and was looking for an amp modeler that feels more natural. After watching some videos with Captain Lee, Chappers and Danish Pete, I had to try the Amplifire.
I was not disappointed. It is so much easier for me to get good tone from the Amplifire and it reacts much more responsive to my playing. I found some free cabinet IRs that sound good to me and built some presets. I use two of the foot switches to switch between four presets and the third to activate/deactivate one effect.
I think it's not too difficult to get your expression pedals working. I built my own cable but it's no problem to solve this with three standard cables. I'm using a Boss FV-500H as volume pedal and a Moog EP-3 as Wah Pedal and I absolutely love the Amplifire's option to set the Wah to be activated by the moving pedal and to automatically turn off once the pedal stops. The effects included in the Amplifire are all that I need because I'm not into exotic stuff. The editor software is easy to understand and works well.
After 10 days and two band rehearsals I can say that all I need is the Amplifire and two expression pedals to get a great tone. Thanks for bringing this to Europe.

Best modeler I've experienced at a good price. I wanted to buy a valve amp, but the realities of moving one of those things to university and venues on a daily basis, as a student with no car, is just ridiculous. This fits into my gig bag, and will make almost any amp sound like what I need to it. Love the fact I can properly edit things indepth when I plug it into my PC too. Can't wait to start recording on this thing. :)

Simply wow, where has this pedal been all my life, it might not totally be a valve amp replacement, but the main this is it makes you want to just play and play, and surely that is the aim at the end of the day!

Lovely bit of kit but why on earth should I fabricate my own cable to allow the use of an expression pedal?
Compact and lovely. But is it that much better than a HDX 500? Much easier to lug around, yes, but I started thinking about the pedals I'd need to supplement it. When you forked out nearly £500 that's not what you'd expect.

Takes time to dial in, have patience and use the editor, it is so much easier. The presets all have this digital edge (high frequency fizz) to them, spent half a day with it and found the reverb hf damp warms it up nicely, now we have a very good, rich and warm clean tone...purchased the pedal as a backup rig, but may be good enough to use at small venues etc...
Recommend the the amp factory presets, the cab sims are better than factory stuff...
Hopefully a usable library of sounds will evolve soon...
Ps
If using live, recommend using 1 cab for all sounds for consistency when switching between amps etc..

First impressions are very good, haven't had chance to really go in to all the features but the presets sound awesome and the effects are insane! Worth the money just for the reverb/chorus.

Very good amp sim pedal, sounds amazing. Relatively cheap for this level of quality, small and compact and easy to use straight out the box. Still in its early days I expect this to develop with firmware upgrades and become one of those ubiquitous bits of kit you see on pedalboards everywhere!

Well thought out pedal with great sounding amp models - upgradeable online so you never run out of sounds. No trace of the 'buzz' other such pedals seem to have on every sound. Unfortunately this one was faulty so I returned it without problems.

some amps )Blackstar 60 Soloist) need an jack to be put in the front of the amp if the amplifire is connected only to the fx-return-loop

This is a fantastic pedal. I've now gigged it DI'd to front of house, and monitored through a full range floor wedge. This is a huge step forward in modelling. The amps are real, and playing dynamics make them come alive. I'd highly recommend this. It is difficult to make it sound less than amazing. The effects are spectacularly detailed. Atomic are going to release updates and new models periodically, which is amazing.

When multi effects like the Johnson J Station came out then the Pod I hoped to be able to create every tone in my head on them but was always left disappointed. I mostly play clean and have had various incarnations of Pod but they never lived up to their hype, for me anyway. I was thinking about Helix then Andertons posted a video review of this. I knew straight away this was what I wanted and ordered straight away. It has absolutely met and passed my hopes and expectations. It's a brilliant product in every way and the tones I am getting from it just make me the happiest I could be playing. I can't thank Tom King enough for making it and Andertons enough for publicising if in this country and distributing it.
