Uni Vibe Pedals
Uni Vibe Pedals
Create intense soundscapes by modulating the guitar, knocking your signal in and out of phase! This is the quintessential uni-vibe sound. At Andertons Music Co. we have a eclectic range of uni vibe guitar pedals which deliver this incredible sound.
Created in 1968, by Japanese manufacturer Shin-ei, the Uni-Vibe was really the first guitar modulation effect. It is essentially a phaser effect that is triggered by flashing LEDs to get that extreme, rhythmic "throb" effect. Uni-Vibe is not a subtle effect, but if you're after Woodstock-era Hendrix tones, nothing comes close!
Many Uni-Vibe pedals have a chorus/vibrato switch. But don't be fooled, it is neither a chorus or vibrato. This switch controls the "dry" (or unmodulated signal). In chorus mode, the dry signal is mixed in with the "wet" modulated signal. In vibrato mode it is only the modulated signal, for a more extreme "sea-sick" type of effect. Brands such as Nux, Eventide, MXR & Earthquaker Devices offer exciting choices for you to try!
