Uni Vibe Pedals

The swirly, twirly, throbbing, pulsing sound of psychadelic rock. Uni-Vibe is most associated with the incomparable Jimi Hendrix!

Uni Vibe Pedals

Created in 1968, by Japanese manufacturer Shin-ei, Uni-Vibe was really the first guitar modulation effect. It is essentially a phaser effect that is triggered by flashing LEDs to get that extreme, rhythmic "throb" effect. Uni-Vibe is not a subtle effect, but if you're after Woodstock-era Hendrix tones, nothing comes close!

Many Uni-Vibe pedals have a chorus/vibrato switch. But don't be fooled, it is neither a chorus or vibrato. This switch controls the "dry" (or unmodulated signal). In chorus mode, the dry signal is mixed in with the "wet" modulated signal. In vibrato mode it is only the modulated signal, for a more extreme "sea-sick" type of effect.
