What separates the Ibanez RGKP6 is the Korg Kaoss Pad 2S that has been built in to the body so you can access an incredible range of effects previously not possible on a guitar.

The Guitar

Before we get into what makes this guitar a must have for anyone who wants something a bit crazy and unique, we must first talk about what makes this a guitar. Based on the RG body shape this guitar features just a single INZ-KP humbucking pickup in a single coil size. This high output pickup is controlled by a single master volume control and that is it. In terms of standard guitar parts this is a simple but high quality, high gain beast.

The Kaoss

The Kaoss Pad is what you want to know about though. You can select one of 100 pre configured effects to add on to your with 15 filters, 15 modulation effects, 20 LFOs, 10 delays, 5 reverbs, 20 loopers, 5 vocoder like modes and finally 10 synth like effects. All of these effects can be controlled and modulated using the touch pad that will directly effect your guitars signal.

Because you have the touch panel in the guitar you can add an effect at a moments notice while still having complete control over your guitar. This opens up a whole new world of guitar sounds to you that previously were not possible. Sweeping through effects with a single control you can create fantastic transitions and effects to your sound.

The Distortion

You don't always have access to an amplifier with high gain distortion or a high gain pedal near by. That is why with the Ibanez RGKP6 guitar you have built in distortion that can run either through the main output or a built in mini jack headphone out for home practice. You can use the distortion with or without the Kaoss pad so even if you just want to practice some high gain riffs through headphones this is already a great buy.
