There’s something special about a good nylon string acoustic guitar. That unmistakable warm, mellow, and rounded sound has long been a popular choice, particularly for classical and Spanish guitar players. But beyond their sonic capabilities, nylon string guitars also make an excellent choice for budding guitarists. They may have a little higher action (how high the strings are above the fretboard), but their lower tension and softer finish means you don’t need to apply quite as much pressure as you do to steel strings – perfect for when you’re still working on your finger strength.

Classical & Electro-Acoustic Nylon String Guitars

But whether you’re a new or experienced classical guitarist, you’ll find an outstanding selection of nylon string instruments right here at Andertons. We stock guitars from some of the world’s biggest brands, including Taylor, Cordoba Guitars, Yamaha, and Alvarez. And if recording or large-scale live performances are an important consideration for you, we offer a range of electro-acoustic nylon string guitars. That should make it a little bit easier to capture and amplify the sweet tones of your guitar!
