Product Description
The Cordoba Luthier C9 Parlour is a smaller-bodied, all-solid classical guitar that offers exceptional comfort without sacrificing tone. With its 7/8 parlour body, shorter 630 mm scale and 50 mm nut width, it is an inspiring choice for players who want an easier playing experience while still enjoying the rich, warm voice of a traditional concert instrument.
Built with a solid Western Red Cedar top and solid African Mahogany back and sides, the C9 Parlour delivers a sweet, responsive sound with plenty of warmth and nuance, ideal for classical, Latin, folk and fingerstyle repertoire. Its compact dimensions make it perfect for smaller players, those with a lighter touch, or anyone who prefers a more intimate feel, whether practising at home or performing in smaller spaces.
Elegant appointments such as rosewood bindings, detailed purfling, a pearloid Esteso weave rosette and a gloss polyurethane finish give the C9 Parlour a refined, traditional look that matches its refined sound. A comfortable C-shape mahogany neck, dual-action truss rod and quality bone nut and saddle complete a specification that is designed to support serious study and expressive playing.
Comfortable Parlour Size for Effortless Playability
The reduced 7/8 body size, shorter 630 mm scale length and 50 mm nut width make the C9 Parlour noticeably easier to handle than a full-size classical. The slimmer dimensions help reduce stretch in the left hand, while the lighter, more compact body sits comfortably whether you play seated or standing, making long practice sessions less tiring.
All-Solid Cedar and Mahogany for Warm, Responsive Tone
A solid Western Red Cedar top paired with solid African Mahogany back and sides provides a warm, rounded voice with quick response and strong midrange presence. This classic tonewood combination rewards a light touch, bringing out subtle dynamics and tonal colour, ideal for expressive classical pieces and intricate fingerstyle arrangements.
Traditional Construction with Modern Stability
The C9 Parlour features a Spanish heel neck joint and traditional fan bracing for authentic classical resonance and sustain. At the same time, a dual-action truss rod allows precise neck adjustment, helping you maintain an optimal playing feel over time and adapt the setup to your personal preference.
Refined Luthier-Style Appointments
Rosewood binding, detailed maple and black purfling, a pearloid Esteso weave rosette and a rosewood headplate with mother-of-pearl Cordoba logo give the C9 Parlour a high-end, luthier-inspired aesthetic. These tasteful details complement the natural gloss finish, making the guitar as visually appealing as it is rewarding to play.
