THe Peavey 6505+ is one of the main go to amps in the rock and metal world. Its incredible amount of gain matched with its high saturation and beauitful crispy tones made it extremely popular over its 20+ year run. Now this 1x12 version not only offers the same great tone but it does it at an unbeatable price in an all in one package.
What Is New
The 6505+ really wants to give you everything you need to get anything from crystal cleans to crushing high gain and anything in between. So to improve on the original circuit they introduced a second 3 band EQ so you have a dedicated controls for each channel and a second power amp control section.
The resonance and Presence controls are part of what made the 6505 so successful so introducing another set so each channel can be set up differently. No longer do you have to deal with bright and brittle clean channel because you want your low tuned guitar to cut through the mix.
The 6505+ is well known for its bright and heavily saturated guitar tones that lets it cut through any mix with a harsh and powerful sound. It along with a particular tread plate covered amplifier became the go to amps for any hard rock and metal bands across the globe.
One of the things that made the Peavey so popular is how clear it sounds when used with downtuned and extended range guitars. On most amps when you go below a low 'C' they start to sound flabby and un-precise. But the Peavey kept clear due to its Resonance and Presence controls which were dialed in to work really well even at very low frequencies.
While the larger 6505 heads come in at an astonishing 120w! The 6505+ 112 comes in at just 60w. This may not sound like much but really it is still powerful enough to handle any size gig you can chuck at it with its all valve power setup. But by dropping from 120w down to 60w you can now much more comfortably use this amplifier at home or in the studio without annoying

You will very rarely see any 6505 amps fail on you so you know that this will take everything you can throw at it.
