Mesa Boogie have a long and proud history of making premium, high-end amps. They're a staple in any studio or professional touring rig around the world. The Mark series is their comprehensive flagship range. To celebrate the 35th year of making these amps they've introduced the all-encompassing Mark V combo.
Simplified but just as versatile
The Mark IV had a reputation for its incredible amount of tonal variety. An army of session players still use the Mark IV, but the most common criticism was the complexity of the front panel. With every knob (and there were lots of them) doing something drastic to the tone, it was almost as easy to dial in a bad sound as it was to get a good one!
The Boogie Mark V design is far simpler and the amp is massively improved as a result. All those great Mesa Tones are right at your fingertips and it's still just as versatile as ever.
Featuring three channels with three different modes for each, select sounds that cover everything from clean and crunch to thick high gain. Channel one delivers bright crisp cleans right up to saturated goodness, using Clean, Fat and Tweed voicings. Channel two serves up hotter crunch with Edge, Crunch and the iconic Mark I voicings. Finally, channel three is where you'll find your high-gain, granting Mk II C+, Mk IV or Extreme gain stages.
MULTI-WATT POWER OPTIONS
Using Dyna-Watt technology, the Mark V is designed for high performance at various volume levels. You get a great amount of headroom, punch and power when you select 35 watts. The two low power options, 25 and 10 watts, provide a looser feel and enhanced power clip expression.
Each of the three power level settings has its own character and feel which adds an extra level of sound control in addition to the standard array of Mode choices and preamp settings.
You also have the legendary five-band EQ to fine-tune those detailed frequencies, taking your tone to the next level. Add the tube-powered spring reverb and there's plenty of room to customise your tone along with the standard three-band EQ for each channel.
Three Independently controlled channels
Mark V amps use solo controls for each channel to allow different footswitchable volume levels in addition to your master settings. With this great feature as well as the EQ, you can already cut two pedals out of your rig and spend the valuable real estate on more creative effects.
The built-in CabClone provides you with the ability to send out a DI signal to a mixer or audio interface. CabClone technology emulates the natural sound of a mic'd up guitar cab for optimal tone with plenty of choice. Switch between open back, closed back or vintage style cabs.
