Jake Bowen’s signature Ibanez model is instantly recognisable, and for 2019, the Periphery guitarist’s stunning instrument has been given a makeover. Now available in a gorgeous pearl white matte finish, the JBM10FX-PWM’s colour scheme perfectly complements its classy gold-coloured hardware, giving you a stunning instrument that still projects the most potent of tones.
However, the modifications are not just aesthetic. That’s because the Ibanez JBM10FX-PWM features a fixed Gibraltar Standard II bridge, rather than the double-locking tremolos found on previous models. Appealing to players after a no-nonsense workhorse, the JBM10FX-PWM Jake Bowen signature is a high-performance shred machine that modern guitarists will feel at home on.
Construction
Bowen’s signature guitar is based on Ibanez’s distinctive RGA model, deriving from the flagship RG shape but featuring a comfortable carved top. Constructed from Nyatoh, this tonewood has similar tonal properties to Mahogany, yielding warm lows and a pronounced mid-range. Adorned with a Maple top, this material injects some bright top-end that’ll allow notes to really cut through in a mix.
The JBM10FX-PWM’s body is paired with a 3-piece Wizard Maple neck, further enhancing the treble with its thin profile ensuring unparalleled playability. The bolt-on construction also gives notes plenty of snap and a fast attack, lending itself well to the tight and technical playing that Bowen is so well-known for.
Electronic & Hardware
Although the Ibanez JBM10FX-PWM is relatively affordable, is still features most of the high-quality electronics and hardware found on its high-end, Japanese-crafted counterpart.
The most noteworthy appointments are the DiMarzio Titan humbuckers, Bowen’s very own signature pickups. Incredibly dynamic and aggressive, these humbuckers shine with high-gain but are also crystal-clear with clean settings, making them perfect for the ambient soundscapes that Bowen also plays in Periphery’s catalogue.
Whereas previous Jake Bowen signature models have featured double-locking tremolos, the JBM10FX-PWM is instead fitted with a Gibraltar Standard II fixed bridge. Designed to provide optimal transfer of each string's vibration through the guitar body, its smooth surface also maximises playing comfort for palm-muted riffing.
At the other end of the instrument you’ll find a set of Gotoh MG-T locking machineheads. Not only making string changes super-simple, these tuners also guarantee better stability as less winds are required around the tuning posts.

How do I use instant finance?
It's simple! Just add the products you want to your basket and click the "Checkout" button in your basket.
