It’s pretty obvious that Fender’s Fullerton ukuleles don’t look like your average ukulele. The Fullerton Series is a range of ukuleles that take design cues from classic Fender guitars. With the shape of its body and pickguard, this ukulele is inspired by the iconic Telecaster. A fun twist on the instrument, the Fullerton Series offers familiar ukulele sound and comfort while paying homage to your favourite Fender guitars.
Tele-Inspired Design
The main talking point of this ukulele is the way it looks. The single-cutaway body, the pickguard, the finish, and that iconic headstock shape, this ukulele bears a strong resemblance to a Telecaster, albeit smaller and more ukulele-ish.
Electro-Acoustic Ukulele
Don’t be fooled by the way it looks, however, this instrument is no novelty. This concert-sized ukulele has that classic, bright and sweet, nylon-string ukulele sound you’d hope for. The bridge is a “no-tie” design which makes string changes a far simpler experience than on a traditional ukulele. The Fullerton series also comes with built-in electronics including a Fender-designed preamp so you can easily play live and record. The preamp features volume and tone controls as well as a handy built-in tuner.
