Product Description
The Desmodus Versio from Noise Engineering is a powerful stereoin, stereoout reverb module designed for unique synthetic tail generation. Unlike traditional reverb units that simulate physical spaces, Desmodus Versio creates expansive and experimental soundscapes, ranging from lush, ethereal textures to eerie, otherworldly atmospheres. This module is not just a reverb; it is also a versatile DSP platform. With a simple USB connection, users can update the firmware to explore different effects, making it a highly adaptable tool for sound design. Opensource support via libDaisy allows users to create their own firmware, unlocking limitless possibilities. Whether you are looking for an innovative reverb solution or a flexible DSP platform, the Desmodus Versio offers an inspiring and creative tool for Eurorack users.
Key Features:
- Stereo DSP reverb:
A unique take on reverb, providing a wide range of synthetic tails and atmospheric effects, from smooth ambient spaces to haunting, spectral echoes. - Firmware versatility:
Easily swap firmware via USB to access different effects. Opensource support allows custom firmware development for expanded sonic possibilities. - Compact and efficient:
10 HP in size, designed to fit into any Eurorack setup while maintaining low power consumption for its extensive feature set.
Sound Design Potential:
Desmodus Versio is built for musicians and sound designers looking to explore unconventional reverbs. Unlike traditional reverbs that simulate natural spaces, this module generates synthetic tails that morph and evolve with realtime control. By adjusting its parameters, users can seamlessly transition from classic reverbs to metallic resonances and eerie, stretchedout reflections. Perfect for cinematic scoring, ambient music, and experimental sound creation.
Firmware and Customisation:
Noise Engineering offers free firmware swaps for the Desmodus Versio, allowing users to transform their module into different effects processors. The opensource nature of the platform also enables experienced programmers to create and upload their own DSP algorithms, making it one of the most adaptable modules available in the Eurorack world.
Build and Power Requirements:
The Desmodus Versio is designed with both durability and efficiency in mind. It features highquality components housed in a sleek, silver faceplate. The module's power consumption depends on the version, with the new version requiring +12V 125mA and 12V 10mA. Its compact 10 HP width ensures it fits easily into most setups while delivering highperformance sound processing.
