The Mahalo Java Concert is a great beginners ukulele that has the look and sound of a proper musical instrument. With its classy and understated aesthetic, unique tone, and affordable price point, its an impressive ukulele!
Mahalo was founded in 1999, interestingly enough in Nagoya, Japan. The vision for the company was to design proper ukuleles at an affordable price point. Musical instruments rather than toys. Since then Mahalo have gone on to become one of the biggest ukulele brands in the world and have done so by staying true to their vision of playable yet affordable instruments.
The Java series feature nato bodies which provide a unique tone to these ukuleles. This model has a natural satin finish which looks classy and feels great. The Java series feature Graph Tech NuBone XB bridge saddles for projection and come fitted with Aquila Super Nylgut strings for a full, balanced sound.
The tenor is bigger than the classic soprano size ukulele. It has a deeper and fuller sound with a warmer tone than the traditional bright soprano. The larger size of the tenor gives your fingers more room on the fretboard - ideal for fingerpicking or people with larger hands.
Here's What Mahalo Say About the Java Series
Exotic nato bodies are carefully crafted with unique tone enhancing features and matched with mahogany necks and teak fingerboards to reproduce outstanding tonal quality and projection.
A distinctive, high quality see-through finish is applied to every Mahalo Java Series ukulele to reveal the inherent beauty and quality of the natural tone woods and enhance every musical nuance.
Complete with Mahalo carry bag, Mahalo Java Series ukuleles feature an arched back and Graph Tech NuBone XB bridge saddles to increase projection and bass response. Aquila Super Nylgut strings are fitted to produce a fuller, louder and more balanced sound, rich in tonal harmonics.
