Chapman have taken the classic single cut design and taken it to new heights with the all new ML2 Pro. Loaded with a pair of ferocious Seymour Duncan Sentient and Pegasus humbuckers and featuring a flamed Maple top on a Mahogany body, the ML2 Pro brings together classic stylings with modern appointments.
Construction
The ML2 features the classic pairing of a Mahogany body with a flamed Maple top for vintage inspired looks and sustain for days. A roasted Maple neck brings stability to the ML2 Pro, making it far less vulnerable to warping in varying environments. An Ebony fingerboard provides a bright, snappy tone and the rolled fingerboard edges make for an extremely comfortable playing experience. The ML2 has a stylish satin finish which not only looks great, but it won't become sticky in hot situations.
Seymour Duncan Pickups
Loaded with a set of Seymour Duncan humbuckers, you can be sure that the ML2 Pro sounds as good as it looks. The Sentient humbucker in the neck position is a very articulate vintage output pickup with great dynamic response and a wide harmonic range. Optimised for lower tunings, the Sentient is perfect for modern metal players. The Pegasus humbucker in the bridge position delivers the perfect blend of articulation and aggression for crystal clear cleans and face melting lead lines! A push-pull tone pot engages a coil split for some sparkly single coil tones, making the ML2 Pro a versatile workhorse.
Hardware
Featuring a Chapman String Through hardtail bridge, the ML2 is perfectly set up for heavier strings and lower tunings. This rock solid bridge offers top notch intonation and resonance and will accommodate even the most heavy handed of players with ease. At the other end is a set of Hipshot Grip Lock open tuners for lighting fast string changes and excellent tuning stability. The 24 stainless steel frets allow for huge string bends without fretting out and are as hard as nails so they won't be wearing out any time soon!
