Brilliant product, very happy indeed. And so is my Les Paul on the Punch setting of the pedal. I've yet to try it with a Strat and a P90 equipped Godin buy I'm sure thre results will be equally steller.

The pedal is great in my recording set up. I use it for dual amping, mixing with a tube amp and the results are great. The ability to find the right amp and cab by quickly flicking switches is brilliant and the EQ knobs are powerful for sound sculpting.

I've been using a Fractal AX8 for 3 years. Great bit of kit but I found I was only using 3 amps and a few effects. Got the Iridium out of curiosity but found I prefer the amp tones and ease of use. The 3 amps are the same as I was using on the AX8!
Really easy to set up your tones, especially edge of breakup which are always the hardest on modellers. Overall dynamics, note clarity, separation and detail in the low-mids is most notable over the AX8. Plays well with overdrives without digital clipping and the output signal is also pedal friendly.
A few people find the Punch (Marshall Super Lead) dark. I got the Own Hammer IR Bundle (£25) which gives more options to find your perfect Cabs and there are plenty of options for brighter 4x12s.
I don't gig, but if I did I would have one set of cab IRs for home practice and another for live use. Easy to change over with the Strymon cab management software.
Some people have complained that their is no balanced XLR outs. Form factor is limited and anyway, if the Iridium between your drive and delay/mod/verb pedals you could not use the balanced outs anyway. Iridium outs are buffered.
Now building a pedal board around the Iridium with a Sunset and SA Ventris reverb pedals (both from Andertons). Really, really hear the difference in quality with separate pedals. These cover

Brilliant piece of kit. to get a good tone from my cox ac15 it had to be turned up loud which is impossible nowadays. the iridium solves this for me. The sound quality is really good at low sound levels. Just put it through an active speaker. Also very easy to transport as to the weight of the ac15. All good.

It’s really good gear for amp simulation, recording and home practice. Pricey but worth it

It does exactly what I want, no options that aren't needed and a focus on quality of amp modelling.

quite noisy but that might well be because of the electrics in my house, i bought an ojai power supply which fixed the problem. Would have been nice if the included power supply provided isolated power, but i guess the ojai is expensive for a reason

Easy to figure out, sounds good, needs a higher gain amp option and better quality IRs but to have great valve tone without a valve head and cabs is something I’ve waired 45 years for!

I had followed a number of reviews before ordering - were they really as good as they were saying? I normally play through a Vox AC30CH and a 2x12 Vox cab - weight about 40kgs in total -uggg. Too old for all this lugging! This unit goes on my pedalboard into my mixer and into my PA. The Chime amp (AC30) thru their 2.x12 Alnico Blue cab sounds better than my amp which I paid over £1000 for. Also the Round (Fender) amp and the Punch (Marshall Plexi) are as good as the real thing. A choice of 3 cabs for each amp - what more can you want? Well some do! and its all there if you want to download your choice via the software.

Until I saw the Anderton's video for this product, I had never heard of it. After watching, my mind was made up. I needed convincing amp and cab simulation, but felt that the Line6 Helix had too many bells and whistles. In my head there are only two amps - Fender Deluxe Reverb and the Marshall SL-1959. So this was a no brainer. The addition of the Vox AC30 in the package was a bonus. In use, the unit is fantastic, direct to interface and into logic it is the stuff of dreams. I am yet to hook it up to PA in a live situation, but I am confident it will be perfect. There is a slight hum when using the Iridium alone with headphones but that is not an issue, it records great direct and that is what I wanted. This is a bold statement, but - this is the best single music gear purchase I have ever made. Any guitar players wanting great fender/vox/marshall sounds, look no further, your search is over.

Great sounds straight out of the box. Feels and responds like an amp! Harmonic overtones are very good. The stereo image (Room ambience) is fantastic. I’m running the Strymon Sunset and Riverside into the Iridium, both of which sound as though they are driving a real valve amp. I’m now confident my ears will still be fit for purpose for another 40 years of playing! Chin chin. X
