Kala KA-15 Satin Spruce Soprano Ukulele

The Kala KA-15 Satin Spruce Soprano Ukulele is a compact, great-sounding instrument that is perfect for beginners, casual players and anyone looking for that classic, bright ukulele chime. Combining a spruce top with mahogany back and sides, it delivers a lively, articulate tone that cuts through beautifully whether you are strumming along at home, in the classroom or at your next open mic.

Part of Kala’s hugely popular Satin Mahogany line, this model adds a crisp spruce top and a smooth satin finish for a comfortable, easy-playing feel. With quality components like a Graph Tech NuBone nut and saddle and Aquila Super Nylgut strings, the KA-15 Satin Spruce Soprano is built to stay in tune, respond well to your touch and stand the test of time.

Bright, Responsive Spruce Top

The solid spruce top is the heart of this ukulele’s sound, giving you a bright, punchy voice with plenty of clarity and projection. Chords ring out clearly and melodies have a defined, singing quality that works brilliantly for both strumming and fingerpicking. Spruce also opens up the more you play, rewarding regular practice with an even richer tone over time.

Classic Mahogany Warmth

Mahogany back, sides and neck bring warmth and balance to the naturally bright spruce top. This classic tonewood combination helps smooth out harshness, giving you a rounded, musical sound that is easy on the ears. Whether you are playing solo or in a group, the KA-15 sits nicely in the mix without getting lost or becoming overpowering.

Comfortable Soprano Size

With its traditional soprano body and short 13.625 inch scale length, this ukulele feels instantly familiar and approachable. The compact size is ideal for younger players and those with smaller hands, but it is also the go-to choice for that authentic, high-pitched island sound. Lightweight and easy to handle, it is a great companion for travel, practice and performance alike.

Reliable Playability and Tuning Stability

A smooth rosewood fingerboard and carefully finished frets make it easy to move around the neck without discomfort. The Graph Tech NuBone nut and saddle help improve sustain and tuning stability, while the Aquila Super Nylgut strings are known for their consistent intonation and pleasing feel under the fingers. A single black strap button adds extra convenience if you prefer to play with a strap.
