The Fender Pugilist V2 Distortion is a dual-engine dirt box that puts two fully independent distortion circuits under your feet, letting you blend, stack and sculpt everything from tight crunch to saturated, harmonically rich filth. With flexible routing options, powerful tone shaping and modern switching tricks, it is built to be the centrepiece of a serious gain rig.

Each engine has its own Gain, Tone and Level controls plus its own footswitch, so you can treat the Pugilist V2 like a two channel amp on your pedalboard. Engine A excels at cutting, treble rich lead tones, while Engine B delivers thicker, heavier distortion. Use them individually for distinct rhythm and lead sounds, or combine them to unlock complex, layered gain textures that would usually take multiple pedals to achieve.

The Path switch is where the pedal really comes alive, offering three different ways to route the engines. Two Series modes let you stack one distortion into the other for cascading gain stages that respond like switching channels on a cranked amp. Parallel mode runs both engines side by side so you can blend their levels for the perfect balance of articulation and chunk, keeping your playing clear even at extreme settings.

Global Mid Cut and Bass Boost switches make it easy to sit your tone in the mix, whether you need to tighten low end for modern riffs or scoop the mids for aggressive, high gain sounds. With its three position Path switch, the Pugilist V2 lets you choose between two Series modes and a Parallel mode. Powerful Global Tone Shaping

Global Mid Cut and Bass Boost switches give you extra control over how the pedal sits in your rig. Use Bass Boost to add weight and punch when things sound too thin, or engage Mid Cut to scoop out midrange for a more modern, aggressive character that leaves space for vocals and other instruments.
