Panorama vibrato system

As much as we’ve loved the classic Jazzmaster vibrato system, it’s never been able to deal with the same acrobatics as the Stratocaster’s floating bridge. The New Panorama system offers both the iconic Jazzmaster warbles while also taking the punishment of larger dives, working with the real bone nut to keep the strings in place, in tune and maintain accurate intonation.

Redesigned V-Mod III single-coil pickups

The American Pro Jazzmaster is packed full of distinct, rich sounds across the two redesigned V-Mod single-coil pickups, overwound for even greater punch and presence. They’re voiced specifically for the bridge and neck positions, so you can dial in anything from a gnarly bite to smooth vintage warmth, and into glistening clarity. Using the push/push switch, coil-tap the bridge pickup for a lower-output, sparkly tone.

Set the Jazzmaster into the iconic rhythm circuit to bring out a thicker voicing with increased output, controlled independently using the roller volume and tone pots. That way you can switch between the standard setup and rhythm section customised to your exact sounds.

Upgraded playing feel and hardware

The Jazzmaster features Fender’s popular deep “C” neck shape filling out the hand. The Super-Natural satin finish is a fantastic addition to make movement up and down the neck seamless, and it’ll wear in tastefully according to the way you play. On top are 22 narrow tall frets for a touch of vintage flavour, expressive bends and easy chord fretting.

A new sculpted neck heel and bevelled neck plate means there are no sharp edges to catch your arm on when you’re playing lead lines and solos higher up the neck. The new ClassicGear J-Bridge feels better than ever to rest your picking hand against, using smooth brass saddles and contributing to excellent tuning stability and clear, characterful tone. Everything here is designed to make it as easy to pick up and play the American Pro Jazzmaster with pure ease day after day.

• V-Mod III Pickups – Mod III Jazzmaster pickups are voiced specifically for each position, slightly overwound for punch and presence, yet retaining vintage warmth and clarity. Activated by a push/push switch, the bridge pickup can be tapped for a sparkly, vintage-accurate tone.
• Sculpted Neck Heel – The rounded neck heel and bevelled neck-plate improve access to the upper register and make leads easy and comfortable.
• Classicgear J-Bridge & Panorama Tremolo – Tight-tolerance machined saddles that lock each string’s break angle and contact point, maximizing vibrational coupling to the body while correcting the intonation and stability issues inherent in vintage-style offset bridges. The Panorama tremolo with pop-in arm dramatically increases the range of vibrato available, allowing for deep, Strat-style dives in addition to classic Jazzmaster warble.
• Deep "C” Neck Profile with Rolled Fingerboard Edges – Delivering both comfort and speed, the neck profile is slim at the nut and fills out gradually as it approaches the neck joint to create a natural feel that’s perfect for chording and single note playing alike. The hand-rolled fingerboard edges and Super-Natural satin finish provide a supremely comfortable feel.
• Series Mode Rhythm Circuit – At the flip of a switch, the rhythm circuit puts both pickups in series for a thicker tone with increased output, controlled by independent volume and tone roller pots.
• Narrow-Tall Frets – Narrow-tall frets deliver a vintage feel with modern playability, especially effective for bending notes and playing chords up the neck with perfect intonation.
