V-Mod III Jazzmaster pickups

Fender and renowned pickup guru Tim Shaw have redesigned their line of unique V-Mod Jazzmaster single-coil pickups as part of the third iteration of the Vintage Modern series. Each pickup is voiced for its specific position in the neck and bridge. These are warm, articulate and smooth sounding pickups that celebrate vintage Jazzmaster tone. The series mode rhythm circuit is an ever-present, giving you the chance to set your neck position tone to a completely different settings with individual volume and tone controls, and thicken up your sound.

Playing feel updates

American Professional Jazzmasters are equipped with Super-Natural satin finish maple necks for silky smooth movement. Rolled fretboard edges bring a satisfying “played-in” feel, while a bevelled neck plate and sculpted neck heel edge grant unfettered access to the upper frets for easy soloing. The range comes as standard with a deep “C” neck profile filling out your hand as you move up the neck, as well as narrow tall frets for a contemporary feel with a touch of vintage to help you with expressive bends and quick chord changes.

ClassicGear J-Bridge and Panorama Tremolo

Fender have overhauled the American Professional Jazzmaster’s bridge and tremolo system with the ClassicGear J-Bridge design. The tight-tolerance machined saddles lock each string’s break angle and contact point, maximizing vibrational coupling to the body while correcting the intonation and stability issues inherent in vintage-style offset bridges. The Panorama tremolo with pop-in arm dramatically increases the range of vibrato for deeper Strat-style dives in addition to classic Jazzmaster warble.
