If the only available stock is in our off-site warehouse it can be brought to the store location for you to try - you just need to contact the store within opening hours. Please note any requests received after 3.30pm will not arrive at the store until the following morning.

Danelectro made a cool comeback in 1998, bringing back a bunch of their wonderfully quirky vintage guitars. They’ve only gone from strength to strength since, but these days, it’s not just about nostalgia. Dano have doubled down on what made those originals so brilliant in the first place, refining the formula without losing any of that retro charm. That said, if you’re after the proper old-school vibe, the Stock ‘59 is about as authentic as it gets — being a faithful reissue of one of their most beloved classics!
Lipstick pickup chime
Lipstick pickups are the secret sauce behind that unmistakable Danelectro tone. They’re bright, jangly and beautifully clear, with a tight low end that keeps everything nicely defined. Think vintage rock ‘n’ roll twang with plenty of versatility for more modern styles too. Clean tones are crisp, making chords shimmer and picking patterns really pop. Then kick in some overdrive and you still get loads of clarity, just with that extra bite.
Vintage-style Swivel bridge
One of the standout features here is the proper classic wooden Swivel bridge, complete with a Pau Ferro saddle. Not only does it nail the vintage aesthetic, but it also plays a big part in the guitar’s unique character by adding a touch of warmth and natural compression that pairs perfectly with those Lipsticks.
Looks great, feels even better
This is one of those guitars that’s genuinely hard to put down. The comfy “C” profile Maple neck sits really nicely in the hand, while the 21-fret Pau Ferro fingerboard makes everything feel smooth. On top of that, the lightweight semi-hollow construction keeps things super manageable whether you’re playing at home or putting in a full set on stage.
