Reverend Club King Guitars
In true Reverend fashion, the Club King is a semi-hollow guitar but not a "normal" one. Whereas most semi-hollow electrics are constructed from laminate woods, the Club King is routed from a single piece of korina for the back and sides, and has a solid spruce top. As a result the Club King has a big, resonant sound with woody overtones that's great for traditional jazz and blues but also flavours rock tones nicely. Club Kings have a bolt-on neck construction which adds a subtle snappiness to the tone and feature Bigsby vibrato bridges for subtle pitch bending.
The Club King comes in two variations with different pickup configurations:
- Club King 290: The 290 features two P90 pickups which provide a thick, rounded tone that can get really gritty when you turn up the gain.
- Club King RB: The RB version has Reverend's Retroblast mini-humbuckers for a smooth yet powerful tone with plenty of percussive edge.
