Sabian 19" Stratus Dry Crash Cymbal

The Sabian 19" Stratus Dry Crash delivers a dark, modern crash sound with a quick, explosive response and a beautifully controlled decay. Sitting perfectly between the speed of an 18" and the power of a 20", it offers extra projection and fullness while retaining the Stratus series signature dryness and complex texture. Ideal as a main crash for contemporary players, it cuts through the mix without ever sounding harsh or overpowering.

Crafted with a thin profile and deep hammering, the 19" Stratus Dry Crash responds instantly to your touch, from subtle accents to full-on crashes. Its dark, balanced tonality makes it a versatile choice for drummers who need one cymbal to handle everything from tight, groove-based playing to more open, atmospheric sections. Whether you are on stage or in the studio, it delivers a refined, musical voice that stays out of the way of vocals and guitars while still making a statement.

Dark, Modern Crash Voice

The 19" Stratus Dry Crash is voiced for a contemporary, dark sound with a balanced body that works across a wide range of genres. It delivers a strong initial impact followed by a controlled wash, giving you presence and clarity without excessive brightness or ring. This makes it particularly well suited to modern rock, pop, fusion and worship settings where you need definition and character without dominating the mix.

Thin, Fast and Responsive

With its thin construction, this crash feels incredibly lively under the stick, opening up quickly even at lower dynamics. You do not have to hit hard to get it to speak, which is perfect for nuanced players and lower volume situations. The fast attack and quick decay also help keep your grooves tight and articulate, ideal for busy patterns and intricate cymbal work.

Extra Projection and Fullness

Compared with the 18" Stratus Dry Crash, the 19" version adds a touch more projection and low end body, giving your accents greater authority. This extra fullness helps your crash cuts through denser arrangements while still blending musically with the rest of your kit. It is a great choice if you like the speed of a smaller crash but want a bit more power and presence.

Deep Hammering for Dry, Complex Texture

Deep hammering across the surface of the cymbal preserves the Stratus series trademark dryness and complexity. The result is a crash with plenty of character in the attack and decay, offering subtle overtones without an uncontrolled wash. This drier, more textured response is ideal for players who want a sophisticated, modern sound that records beautifully and stays articulate in any environment.
