Reason 14 DAW Upgrade

Reason 14 is a major workflow-focused upgrade to Reason, reorganising the DAW around your tracks so you can move faster and stay creative for longer. With the new Track Panel, Track Folders, smarter looping clips, automatic tempo detection, MIDI Note Chase, Dark Mode and the powerful RV-9 Reverb Station, it is all about removing friction from your sessions and helping you finish more music.

Track Centric Workflow

Reason 14 puts your tracks at the centre of everything. The new Track Panel lets you see and control your signal chain, levels and sends directly in the sequencer, so you are not constantly jumping between the Rack and Mixer just to make simple changes. You can still open the Rack from the panel whenever you want deeper device control, but day to day mixing and routing becomes faster, clearer and far more intuitive.

Faster, Smarter Sequencing

Big projects are far easier to manage thanks to Track Folders, letting you group related tracks and collapse them when you need a cleaner view of your arrangement. Clips are smarter too: loop any audio, MIDI or automation clip simply by dragging it out, with edits to one repetition reflected across all of them. The piano roll has been refined for a more natural editing feel, while MIDI Note Chase ensures instruments trigger correctly even if you start playback in the middle of a note.

RV-9 Reverb Station

Reason 14 introduces RV-9 Reverb Station, a new Rack device that succeeds the much loved RV7000. With nine algorithms rebuilt from the ground up, RV-9 covers everything from realistic rooms, halls and plates to granular and spectral reverbs that can morph into huge, evolving soundscapes. Built in shimmer, ducking and a fully parametric EQ make it just as suited to creative sound design as it is to everyday mixing duties.

Modern Look, Expanded Sound

The entire interface now supports Dark Mode and follows your system theme, giving you a focused, low glare environment that is kinder on the eyes during long sessions. Navigation has been streamlined with new buttons for the Track Panel, Edit Area, Groove Mixer, Keys and Settings, plus floating Rack and Mixer windows that stay on top when you need them. On the sound side, Reason 14 adds over 900 new drum samples, 50 fresh Europa patches built on new wavetable content, and 20 new impulse responses for RV7000, all neatly collected in a dedicated New in Reason 14 browser section so you can dive straight into the latest content.

• RV-9 Reverb Station - Explore nine reverb algorithms ranging from realistic rooms, halls and plates to granular and spectral textures that can freeze, shimmer and evolve. With integrated ducking and parametric EQ, RV-9 can sit a vocal perfectly in the mix or push a synth into otherworldly ambience without needing extra plug ins.
• Dark Mode and Workflow Refinements - Work comfortably for longer with a DAW that now defaults to Dark Mode and follows your system theme, while floating Rack and Mixer windows plus new navigation buttons keep key tools one click away. Automatic tempo detection and MIDI Note Chase further streamline your sessions so ideas flow without technical distractions.
