If you have placed your order online, you will receive a confirmation email of your order and a separate follow-up text or email to confirm when your item is ready for collection.
Please do not come to the store before you have received the follow-up message, as your order may not yet be ready at the store.
If the only available stock is in our off-site warehouse it can be brought to the store location for you to try - you just need to contact the store within opening hours. Please note any requests received after 3.30pm will not arrive at the store until the following morning.

Bringing together the best of 000 and dreadnought body shapes, the Grand Performance GPC-16E is a forward-thinking acoustic for players who need outstanding versatility and modern features while still valuing traditional style. The Martin 16 Series specialises in this combination of vintage tonal characteristics and modern playing feel to get the best of both worlds, whether you’re performing live or recording.
Unique shape crafted with stunning tonewoods
The Grand Performance is a shape unique to Martin, marrying the smaller 000 body depth with the curvature of a dreadnought’s lower bout. The result is a guitar with a particularly articulate and nuanced mid-range while without sacrificing the power you get from a larger body acoustic. The spruce top adds excellent projection to the sound while the classy East Indian rosewood back and sides create a rich and deep bass.
Other design features include a generous cutaway for access to the upper frets and a wide variety of playing styles – not just strumming cowboy chords. There’s also the scalloped X-bracing ensuring consistent resonance throughout the body and outstanding stability over time and as you travel with the GPC-16E.
Contemporary feel
A big benefit of the GPC-16E's modern appointments is how effortless it feels to play. The modified low oval neck shape and a high performance taper as you travel up the fingerboard feels seamless – at no point do you feel like you’re fighting to fret any chords regardless of chord shape.
Vintage style and pro-grade electronics
The GPC-16E looks the part too in an understated traditional design boasting a luxurious ebony fretboard, tortoiseshell pickguard and the classy framing of antique white body binding and detailed rosette binding, sure to fit any style you’ve got going on.
The L.R. Baggs electronics makes the J-16E an extremely versatile instrument for a quick, easy and great sounding setup when plugging into a PA system or laying down demo tracks hooked directly into an interface.
