Kurzweil KAE1-LB Stage Piano - Black

The Kurzweil KAE1-LB Stage Piano in Black is a compact, fully weighted 88-note instrument designed to bring an authentic acoustic piano feel to your home, studio or stage. With its H1 Ivory graded hammer-action keybed, 128-note polyphony, curated KORE 1.0 sound library and integrated 30W four-speaker system, it delivers a responsive, expressive playing experience without the need for extra gear.

Whether you are a beginner looking for a serious first piano, a teacher needing a versatile practice instrument, or a gigging player wanting a portable stage piano with built-in speakers, the KAE1-LB offers a refined touch and a focused selection of inspiring sounds. Bluetooth audio and MIDI, a simple song recorder and flexible split and layer modes make it a practical, modern choice for everyday playing and performance.

H1 Ivory Graded Hammer-Action Keyboard

At the heart of the KAE1-LB is Kurzweil’s H1 Ivory, 4-zone graded, hammer-action keyboard. The black keys are textured to emulate wood, while the white keys feature ivory-coloured tops, giving you a tactile, piano-like feel under the fingers. The graded action is heavier in the bass and lighter in the treble, closely mirroring an acoustic grand and helping you develop proper technique. With three adjustable touch sensitivity settings, you can tailor the response to your playing style, from a light touch to a more dynamic, expressive feel.

Curated KORE 1.0 Sound Library

The KAE1-LB is powered by Kurzweil’s KORE 1.0 128MB sound library, featuring 20 hand-picked factory instruments. At its core are optimised German D piano samples derived from Kurzweil’s professional line, delivering a rich, detailed and musical main piano sound. Complementary voices such as electric pianos, organs, clavs and strings give you the tools to cover a wide range of styles, from classical and jazz to pop and worship, without overwhelming you with menus or complex editing.

Built-in Performance Tools

Split, layer and duo performance modes let you create practical combinations for live use and practice. You can assign bass to the left hand and piano to the right, layer strings with your main piano, or set up a duo mode for teacher and student to play side by side. A full transpose function, fine-tuning, and onboard reverb and chorus effects help you adapt quickly to different musical situations, from rehearsals to small performances.

Integrated Sound System, Bluetooth and Recorder

The integrated 30W stereo sound system, with four speakers powered by dual 15W amplifiers, provides a clear, room-filling sound that is ideal for home use, teaching studios or intimate performances. Bluetooth 5.2 audio and MIDI allow you to stream music from a smartphone or tablet through the built-in speakers and connect wirelessly to compatible apps for learning, recording or composition. A simple one-track song recorder lets you capture ideas or review your practice sessions without needing a computer.
