Product Description
The Kala KA-15B Satin Mahogany Baritone Ukulele takes Kala’s flagship KA-15 design and scales it up for players who want a deeper, richer ukulele voice. With its all-mahogany construction, satin finish and baritone scale, it delivers a warm, guitar-like tone that is inviting for beginners yet inspiring for experienced players.
Part of a series that has become an industry standard, the KA-15B is built to be a reliable musical companion for years to come. The longer scale length and wider body give you extra resonance and projection, while the comfortable neck and quality components make it easy to play and keep in tune. Whether you are moving up from a smaller uke or coming across from guitar, this baritone offers a familiar feel with classic Kala character.
The satin mahogany body gives the instrument a traditional, understated look that suits any setting, from home practice to ensemble playing. A rosewood fingerboard, Graph Tech NuBone nut and saddle, and Aquila Super Nylgut strings with wound D and G complete a specification that focuses on stability, playability and consistent tone. Designed to stand the test of time, the KA-15B is a baritone ukulele you can grow with.
Warm, Traditional Mahogany Tone
With a mahogany top, back and sides, the KA-15B produces a mellow, rounded sound with plenty of low-end presence and smooth mids. This classic tonewood choice suits strumming, fingerstyle and chord melody playing, giving you a versatile voice that works well for solo performance or supporting vocals.
Comfortable Baritone Scale
The baritone size and 20.0625 inch scale length provide a more spacious feel under the fingers, ideal if you are used to guitar or simply prefer a larger instrument. The extended scale improves string tension and intonation, helping chords ring clearly across the whole fingerboard.
Satin Finish for Natural Feel
A smooth satin finish highlights the natural grain of the mahogany while keeping the instrument feeling fast and comfortable in the hands. It reduces stickiness on the neck, making position shifts easier and allowing the body to resonate freely for a more open, responsive tone.
Quality Components for Long-Term Stability
The rosewood fingerboard, Graph Tech NuBone nut and saddle, and Aquila Super Nylgut strings with wound D and G are chosen for consistency and durability. Together they help the KA-15B stay in tune, project clearly and respond evenly across the fretboard, supporting reliable performance session after session.
