Product Description
The Ibanez EHB605-WNF is a groundbreaking 5-string bass that combines a headless design with an ergonomic, chambered body to deliver exceptional comfort and playability. Crafted with premium tonewoods and equipped with versatile electronics, this bass is engineered to meet the demands of modern players seeking clarity, tonal depth, and lightweight performance. Whether you’re playing extended gigs or lengthy practice sessions, the EHB605-WNF offers a perfect balance of innovation and tradition, making it an outstanding choice for bassists who want to explore new sonic territories.
Featuring a 5-piece Maple/Jatoba neck and a Jatoba fretboard, the EHB605-WNF delivers rich midrange tones with a crisp high-end bite. Its Okoume body contributes brightness and solid resonance, while the α1 pickups provide ultimate tonal clarity with abundant mids and lows, ideal for cutting through complex mixes. The built-in Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ offers precise tonal shaping, including an EQ bypass switch for passive operation and a global treble control, empowering players with a wide palette of sounds from vintage warmth to modern punch.
The bass’s ergonomic design extends beyond its headless construction; a slanted back body and scooped cut enable comfortable playing whether seated or standing, with enhanced upper fret access and improved control. The MR5HS bridge allows for fine string spacing adjustments and maximises vibration transfer for superior sustain and definition. Together with the lightweight Ibanez custom headpieces and medium frets, this bass is engineered to deliver comfort, precision, and inspiring tone in every performance.
5pc Maple/Jatoba Neck & Jatoba Fretboard
The 5-piece Maple/Jatoba neck offers excellent strength and enhanced resonance, paired with a Jatoba fretboard that produces a rich midrange and crisp highs. This combination ensures a balanced tone suitable for various playing styles, from punchy grooves to articulate fingerwork.
α1 Pickups & Custom 3-Band EQ
Ibanez’s α1 pickups provide exceptional tonal clarity with robust mids and lows, perfect for modern bass sounds. The custom 3-band EQ allows precise control over your tone, with a unique mid boost and cut range that delivers some of the most favourable bass timbres available.
Ergonomic Body Design
The headless construction, slanted body back, comfortably rounded edges, and scooped cut on the back combine to create a bass that feels natural and balanced in any playing position. This ergonomic design reduces fatigue during long sessions and offers easy access to upper frets.
MR5HS Bridge with Adjustable String Spacing
Designed specifically for the EHB series, the MR5HS bridge provides a wide intonation range and allows string spacing adjustments of ±1.5mm. Each saddle is independently mounted to maximise vibration transfer, ensuring your bass sounds as good as it feels.
