Gretsch Catalina Club Acoustic Drum Kit in Gloss Crimson Burst

The Gretsch Catalina Club Acoustic Drum Kit in Gloss Crimson Burst delivers classic, warm mahogany tone in a compact, studio friendly configuration. With 7 ply, 100 percent mahogany shells, 30 degree bearing edges and Gretsch’s GTS mounting system, this kit is designed to give you that unmistakable Gretsch sound with a fast, focused response that works perfectly for jazz, funk, indie and low volume live gigs.

This studio set configuration keeps things streamlined with a punchy 20 inch bass drum, versatile 12 inch rack tom, deep sounding 14 inch floor tom and a crisp 14 inch snare. Finished in a striking Gloss Crimson Burst with a matte lacquer, it looks as good under stage lights as it does in the studio. Whether you are upgrading from a first kit or looking for a compact second setup, the Catalina Club offers pro inspired features at a very accessible price point.

Gretsch have carefully balanced vintage character with modern practicality. The thin mahogany shells and 30 degree bearing edges provide a warm, rounded tone with plenty of low end, while the lightweight 1.6 mm hoops and GTS suspension help the drums sing freely and tune easily. It is a kit that encourages musical playing, responding sensitively to dynamics and touch.

With its compact footprint and versatile sound, the Catalina Club is ideal for drummers who need a portable, great sounding acoustic kit that can cover rehearsals, recording and smaller stages without compromise.

Classic Mahogany Warmth

The 7 ply, 100 percent mahogany shells give this kit a rich, full bodied tone with smooth lows and a controlled top end. Mahogany naturally emphasises warmth and depth, making your toms sound round and musical while keeping the bass drum fat and punchy. This makes the Catalina Club particularly well suited to styles where tone and feel matter more than sheer volume.

30 Degree Bearing Edges

All shells feature Gretsch’s traditional 30 degree bearing edge, helping the head sit more fully on the shell for increased contact and resonance. This design produces a slightly softer attack with enhanced low and midrange, giving you that classic, vintage inspired response that records beautifully and feels incredibly satisfying under the sticks.

GTS Freely Suspended Tom Mount

The GTS tom mounting system supports the 12 inch rack tom without drilling extra hardware into the shell, allowing it to resonate more freely. This results in improved sustain, clearer tone and easier tuning, while also providing stable positioning on your bass drum. It is a practical, gig ready solution that keeps your tom sounding open and alive.

Compact, Versatile Studio Configuration

The 20 x 14 inch bass drum, 12 x 8 inch rack tom, 14 x 14 inch floor tom and 14 x 5.5 inch snare make for a compact yet highly versatile setup. The smaller bass drum offers a tight, focused punch that sits perfectly in a mix, while the tom sizes cover everything from articulate jazz tuning to deeper, more modern sounds. It is an ideal configuration for studios, practice rooms and smaller stages where space is at a premium.
