Product Description
The Fender John 5 Phantom Telecaster takes the classic single cut silhouette and reimagines it as a sleek, high performance metal machine. Dressed in a menacing all black finish and loaded with dual DiMarzio D Activator humbuckers, a Floyd Rose double locking tremolo and a dedicated killswitch, it is purpose built for aggressive riffs, searing leads and dramatic stage moments.
Every detail has been tailored to John 5's exacting standards, from the custom Medium C maple neck and fast ebony fingerboard to the streamlined single volume control and three way toggle. If you love the feel and familiarity of a Telecaster but need the power, precision and stability to handle modern rock and metal, this signature model delivers in style.
High Output DiMarzio D Activator Humbuckers
The John 5 Phantom Telecaster is armed with a pair of DiMarzio D Activator humbuckers that offer the tight low end, fast attack and powerful response associated with active pickups, while retaining the nuance and dynamics of a passive design. This means you get crushing rhythm tones, articulate leads and clear cleans without sacrificing touch sensitivity or expression.
Floyd Rose Double Locking Tremolo System
A Floyd Rose FRTS2000 double locking tremolo and Floyd Rose Special locking nut give you rock solid tuning stability, even under extreme use. Dive bombs, flutters, squeals and wide pitch bends all come off with confidence, letting you perform the most dramatic tremolo tricks without constantly fighting to stay in tune.
Fast, Comfortable John 5 Neck Profile
The custom John 5 Medium C maple neck combines a familiar, comfortable carve with a satin finish that feels smooth and fast in the hand. Paired with a 12 inch radius ebony fingerboard and 22 narrow tall frets, it provides a slick, modern playing surface that makes rapid runs, wide bends and intricate chord work feel effortless.
Stealthy Aesthetic with Performance Hardware
Finished in black with a matching headcap, black hardware and a 1 ply anodised pickguard, this Telecaster has a bold, unified look that stands out under stage lights. Deluxe cast/sealed locking tuners enhance tuning stability and make string changes quicker, while the John 5 signature neck plate and single black speed knob complete the stripped back, performance focused aesthetic.
Features
- Dual DiMarzio D Activator Humbuckers - High output humbuckers deliver tight, punchy lows, cutting mids and clear highs, giving you the power for modern metal and hard rock while preserving the dynamic feel of passive pickups.
- Floyd Rose FRTS2000 Double Locking Tremolo - The floating Floyd Rose bridge and locking nut work together to keep your tuning stable through extreme vibrato techniques, so you can use pull ups, dive bombs and flutters without compromise.
- Custom John 5 Medium C Neck with Ebony Fingerboard - A comfortable Medium C profile, satin finish, 12 inch radius and narrow tall frets create a fast, modern playing platform that suits technical riffing, fluid legato and expressive bends.
