Product Description
The Death By Audio Echo Dream 2 is a massive, atmospheric soundscape generator. From rich, spacious repeats to beautifully textured echoes, it goes way beyond your average delay pedal — it’s practically an instrument in its own right.
Wild modulation & fuzzed-out mayhem
Dial in the onboard modulation for anything from subtle movement to eerie, warbling chorus textures. Or push it further for properly twisted, pitch-bending bedlam. Then kick in the fuzz and things get proper mad, as your repeats break apart into gritty, distorted fragments that feel alive under your fingers.
From subtle ambience to total chaos
It’s no wonder recording engineers and touring pros love this thing — it just sounds incredible at every setting. Whether you’re after delicate ambience or huge, swirling walls of fuzz and feedback, the Echo Dream 2 is built to transform your sound and reward experimentation.
Features
Master controls
- Master: Adjusts the output volume of the effect.
- Fuzz: Sets the amount of gain, from clean to fuzzed-out bliss. This gain is after the echo and will make both the clean and the echoes distorted when cranked up.
- Delay: Controls the volume of the delayed signal.
Echo controls
- D Time: Influences the delay time (numbers shown in milliseconds) between 20 ms and 1 second. Long delay times can create flutter, noise and distortion.
- Feedback: Sets the feedback of the delays, from slapback to wild runaway oscillation.
- Dry toggle: The up position allows the dry signal through, down kills the dry signal (only the repeats will be heard).
Modulation controls
- Speed: Controls how fast the modulating oscillator runs.
- Depth: Sets how far the modulator will swing the delay time. At high intervals, the pitch of the repeats will shift very far!
- Shape toggle: The up position produces a smoother, sine-like modulator waveform, while down yields a sharp, square-shaped modulator waveform.
