Product Description
The Dean ML 79 Black to Blue Fade takes the legendary ML silhouette and gives it a modern, stage-ready twist with a stunning split finish. With an all-eastern mahogany construction, set-neck build, Indian rosewood fretboard and a pair of DMT Time Capsule humbuckers, it delivers classic hard rock and metal tones with punch, sustain and attitude at a price that is within reach of working players who want to stand out.
Classic ML Style with Modern Gradient Finish
The iconic ML outline is instantly recognisable and built for performance, with extended body wings that balance perfectly on a strap. The Black to Blue Fade finish adds a contemporary edge, shifting smoothly from deep black to vivid blue for a look that pops from every angle. It is a guitar that looks as aggressive as it sounds, ideal for players who want their instrument to make a statement before they even hit a note.
All Eastern Mahogany Construction
Both the body and top are crafted from eastern mahogany, giving the ML 79 a warm, full-bodied voice with plenty of midrange punch. This classic tonewood choice helps riffs sound thick and authoritative, while chords ring out with rich sustain. It is a solid foundation for everything from classic rock crunch to modern high-gain tones.
Comfortable V Neck and Jumbo Frets
The eastern mahogany neck features a V profile that fills the hand without feeling bulky, encouraging a natural thumb position for both rhythm and lead work. Combined with a 12 inch radius Indian rosewood fretboard and 22 jumbo frets, you get a smooth, fast playing surface that makes bends, vibrato and fast runs feel effortless.
DMT Time Capsule Pickups and Simple Controls
A matched pair of DMT Series Time Capsule humbuckers provides the ML 79 with a powerful, vintage-voiced output that stays articulate under gain. Individual volume controls for each pickup, a shared tone control and a three-way toggle switch give you instant access to a wide range of sounds, from tight bridge aggression to thick neck warmth and everything in between.
