Mapex Mars Maple & Mars Birch

One of the biggest choices within the Mapex Mars Series is between maple and birch shells. Mars Maple Drum Kits feature 100% European maple shells, producing a warm, smooth and rounded sound that works comfortably across a wide range of musical styles. Mars Birch Drum Kits use 100% birch shells for a more focused character, with quick response, clear projection and plenty of punch. Both are classic drum tonewoods, making the choice largely about which sound best complements your music.

SONIClear Technology & Performance-Ready Features

Mapex equips Mars drums with its SONIClear bearing edges, helping the drumhead sit flatter against the shell for easier, more consistent tuning, a strong fundamental pitch and an expanded tuning range. The rack toms also benefit from the SONIClear Suspension System, which helps preserve shell and drumhead vibration for increased resonance. Practical touches such as insulated bass drum claws and a choice of configurations further make Mars a versatile option for rehearsals, studio sessions and live performances.
