Both four-string and five-string models are available, the latter adding stacked octaves for greater range.

V-Mod III split coil pickup

Fender and pickup guru Tim Shaw have designed their latest iteration of the Vintage Modern range: the V-Mod III pickups. The Precision split coil is a modified version of the classic Fender pickup, packing old school warmth while possessing the punch and clarity to hit hard in a modern mix both for live and recorded playing. ClassicGear Precision Potentiometers deliver smooth, consistent volume and tone control with custom torque, precise resistance and a musical taper for effortless performance.

Playing feel updates

American Pro Precision Basses are equipped with Super-Natural satin finish maple necks for silky smooth movement. Rolled fretboard edges and narrow tall fretwire bring a satisfying vintage-inspired “played-in” feel, while a bevelled neck plate and sculpted neck heel edge grant unfettered access to the upper frets for easy soloing. The range comes equipped with a modified 1963 “C” neck profile feeling thick in your hand close to the nut, while slimming out from the 12^th fret to make those lead lines feel as easy to play as possible.

HiMass Pro Bridge update

A significant upgrade over the previous American Pro range, the new HiMass bridge gives you increased sustain and note definition thanks to the sturdy hi-mass construction. The improved attack and resonance throughout the body brings a livelier, impactful sound when you fret at any position. Tuning and intonation stability is as incredible as ever.
