Fender American Professional Jazz Basses

The Fender American Professional Jazz Bass is the ultimate working musicians’ bass guitar, packed with player friendly features so you’re confident in playing your J Bass day after day. These USA-made basses combine iconic vintage heritage and offset style with modern specs to deliver outstanding classic tone and a familiar satisfying “pick up and play” feel. You’ve got a great range of finishes and either rosewood or maple fingerboards to choose from to suit your personal preferences, all including deluxe hardshell cases. Both four-string and five-string models are available, the latter adding stacked octaves for greater range.

V-Mod III split coil pickup

Fender and pickup guru Tim Shaw have designed their latest iteration of the Vintage Modern range: the V-Mod III pickups. The Jazz bass dual single-coils are voiced specifically for each position, slightly overwound for punch and presence, yet retaining vintage warmth and clarity. ClassicGear Precision Potentiometers deliver smooth, consistent volume and tone control with custom torque, precise resistance and a musical taper for effortless performance.

Playing feel updates

American Pro Precision Basses are equipped with Super-Natural satin finish maple necks for silky smooth movement. Rolled fretboard edges and narrow tall fretwire bring a satisfying vintage-inspired “played-in” feel, while a bevelled neck plate and sculpted neck heel edge grant unfettered access to the upper frets for easy soloing. The range comes equipped with a slim “C” neck profile marking a noticeable difference from its Precision sister bass. This is light, agile and a fantastic instrument to get technical with your playing.

HiMass Pro Bridges

A significant upgrade over the previous American Pro range, the new HiMass bridge gives you increased sustain and note definition thanks to the sturdy hi-mass construction. The improved attack and resonance throughout the body brings a livelier, impactful sound when you fret at any position. Tuning and intonation stability is as incredible as ever.
