D'Addario
The preferred choice of a wide range of artists from the likes of John Scofield, Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits), Keith Urban, Brent Hinds (Mastadon) and Adrian Belew(King Crimson).
Often mispronounced, the brand is actually phonetically spelt “Da-Dairy-O”. So, now you can correct your mates- Trust me they’ll love it!
History of D'addario
The story of D’Addario actually began in a tiny little village In Italy in the 1600s, The D’Addarios were a family of Italian string makers, and after a devastating earthquake hit their home in 1905, they moved to New York in search of a better life.
Right from these early days, Charles D’Addario focused on quality and innovation, talking to artists and even pioneering the use of synthetic strings. This progressive approach has been handed down from generation to generation; and they now feature a pretty impressive artist roster and a dedicated research and development arm to make sure they stay ahead of the curve.
Series
D’Addario now offer a huge catalogue of electric, acoustic, bass and classical guitar strings offering a wide range of tones from the smooth and mellow flat-wounds to tight bright XL ProSteels.
D’Addario utilise extensive research to bring the best sound, durability and reliability. Their coated strings use EXP technology to get a natural feel and last at least 4times longer
NYXL Strings are the latest innovation from D’addario. this newly engineered, break-resistant, high-carbon steel core and plain steel alloy provide more strength and up to 131% greater tuning stability.
