Product Description

Chapman Guitars have updated the ML1 Pro Modern formula to make it one of their best looking, sounding, and feeling guitars to date! Loaded with Seymour Duncan Sentient and Pegasus humbuckers, the ML1 Pro can produce powerful yet versatile tones and the ash top with Pitch Black finish gives it an aesthetic to match. Add to this the roasted maple neck, Macassar ebony fingerboard, and rolled edges for a smooth playing experience.

Body & Neck

This ML1 Pro Modern features an ash body with a solid ash carve top. Ash is a lightweight wood that won't take its toll on your back and has a striking wood grain that really comes through with this Pitch Black finish.

This guitar has a satin-finish roasted maple neck which looks and feels great but has the added benefit of increased stability. The ML1 Pro Modern is a neck-through design, which not only further increases stability, it also improves sustain and resonance. The ebony fretboard provides a smooth, natural-feeling playing surface and the rolled fingerboard edges further add to the comfort of the neck.

Hardware & Electronics

Chapman have loaded this guitar with Seymour Duncan humbuckers, a Sentient in the neck and a Pegasus in the bridge. The Sentient is a modern take on the classic PAF tone, offering balanced, articulate tone with vintage output that's great for a wide range of styles. The Pegasus, on the other hand, offers more aggression while retaining balance and responsiveness which makes it perfect for rock through to progressive metal.

The 5-way pickup switch allows you to incorporate coil-split tones for when you need a thinner, snappier sound, expanding the versatility of this guitar. With Hipshot grip-lock locking tuners, a Graph Tech black TUSQ XL nut, and a hardtail bridge you get excellent tuning stability allowing you to riff and bend to your heart's content without ending up wildly out-of-tune.

Beautiful guitar. I've never been a fan of Strat style guitars but bought this after watching Rabea and Rob Chapman demoing it. It was especially more appealing as it had a rather large discount on it. I absolutely love it. The neck feels like silk and the finish on the body is unlike anything I've ever seen before. It's a very tactile guitar and there's something really good about actually being able to feel the grain in the wood. I like the fact that it's matt affect (we need more guitars like this). The neck feels slim which is good. The scale length is unreal, that's been an eye opener in itself. When you get up to the 12th fret there's a whole lot more guitar there than I've ever had. The five way switch gives it a real good set of useable tones, again a first for me. For the first time I feel like I've got more than one tone to play with. It's not heavy at all, but does have solidity to it. Be aware though, that if you buy a case. You'll need a longer one than just for a strat. I made that mistake and bought one for a strat, but luckily have another guitar that fits the case perfectly. For the money that these are going for now, get one.

Wow! This guitar! Amazing instrument. May just be the best guitar I’ve ever played. It’s really up there with the Fender and Gibson custom models. Then neck is smooth and fast and so is the fretboard. The body’s contours nicely place it in your lap for comfortable playing. The tone variety is completely out of this world. You can get almost any sound you want out of this guitar, clean or driven. Over the moon with it, if you’re looking at this guitar seriously then get it! You won’t regret it

I had never tried a chapman before and went for this one blind. I'm extremely happy with how good this instrument is in every possible way. Such quality. The only thing that's not perfect for me is the fact that you can feel the carvings on the wood. I thought it was really cool at first (and it is), but it's mildly inconvenient when playing for me personally.
