At the heart of the Horizon 8P are eight genuine Audient console preamps derived from David Dearden's ASP8024-HE design, delivering up to 75dB of clean, quiet gain. ORBIT Control lets you reshape each preamp's impedance in hardware, with three selectable voicings that let you optimise the response of ribbon, dynamic and condenser microphones at the source. Whether you are tracking drums, guitars, vocals or orchestral sessions, you get the headroom, warmth and punch you would expect from a large-format console, without leaving the rack.

For hybrid and outboard-heavy workflows, the Horizon 8P integrates seamlessly into modern studio setups. Eight line inputs and outputs over DB25 give you direct access to compressors, EQs and summing mixers, while dual ADAT I/O provides up to 16 channels of digital expansion. With 24-in / 32-out connectivity over Thunderbolt 3, scalable architecture that lets you daisy-chain up to four Horizon units on a single driver, and a system maximum of 200 x 200 I/O, it is ready to grow with your studio.
