Stringjoy 14-62 Gauge Ariel Posen Artist Series Signature Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings

Stringjoy Ariel Posen Artist Series Signature Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings are a purpose-built 14-62 set created to capture Ariel’s unmistakable feel and tone. From glassy slide melodies to huge open-tuned chords, this carefully balanced spread delivers a bigger, more controlled voice that stays musical and stable no matter how hard you dig in.

Co-designed with Ariel himself, this set is all about expressive touch and rock-solid tuning. The heavier gauges give you piano-like lows and a focused midrange, while the top strings remain sweet and controllable under a slide. Whether you are in open tunings or standard, these strings are engineered to hold pitch, resist flabbiness and still let you bend with ease when the moment calls for it.

Precision winding and premium materials ensure studio-grade clarity and consistency from pack to pack. Intonation locks in quickly, sustain feels endless and the string-to-string balance lets every chord and melody speak clearly. If you want Ariel-style articulation, dynamic range and reliability night after night, this signature 14-62 set is built to deliver.

Designed with Ariel Posen

This set was created in direct collaboration with Ariel Posen to reflect his exacting demands for feel, tone and tuning stability. Every gauge was chosen to support his dynamic slide work and open-tuning approach, giving you a ready-made route into his world of expressive, vocal-like guitar sounds.

Optimised for Open Tunings and Slide

The 14-62 spread is tailored for players who live in open tunings and rely on slide. It holds pitch confidently down to B and C, both in open and standard setups, resisting the sag that can rob your sound of sustain and definition. You get a firm, supportive platform under the bar while still being able to coax bends and vibrato when you need them.

Balanced Tension, Bigger Tone

Carefully matched gauges keep tension even across the neck, so every string feels connected and responds consistently under your fingers. The result is grand-piano style lows, articulate mids and a top end that stays smooth and controlled, even under heavy attack or aggressive slide work.

Studio-Ready Clarity and Durability

Wound on high-precision machinery using quality core and wrap wire, these strings are built for clean intonation, clear note separation and long-lasting performance. They settle quickly, stay in tune and maintain their tone across sessions and gigs, so you can focus on playing rather than constantly changing strings.

• Ariel Posen Signature 14-62 Gauges - A custom gauge set co-designed with Ariel Posen to mirror his preferred feel and response. The heavier spread supports his powerful slide technique and rich, open-tuned voicings while keeping the top end playable and expressive.
• Built for Open Tunings and Lower Pitches - Engineered to hold pitch and tension in lower tunings such as B and C, in both open and standard configurations. This helps eliminate flabby lows and unstable chords, giving you a tighter, more authoritative sound when you tune down.
• Balanced Tension for Expressive Playability - Each string is chosen to keep tension even across the neck, so chords feel cohesive and single-note lines remain controlled. This balance enhances dynamic control, making it easier to move from delicate passages to full-throttle riffs without losing clarity.
• Nickel Wound for Clear, Musical Tone - Nickel wound construction provides a familiar, versatile electric guitar sound with a clear attack and smooth top end. Combined with Stringjoy’s precise winding process, you get studio-grade clarity, strong sustain and reliable performance from session to stage.
