Product Description
The Sterling by Music Man StingRay RAY34 takes everything you already love about the iconic StingRay and dials it up with a seriously luxurious look. With its flamed Maple veneer top, Purple Sunset finish and dark roasted Maple neck, this thing looks way more expensive than it’s got any right to be!
That legendary StingRay punch
Of course, it’s not just a pretty face. If you like to dig in, you’re going to feel right at home here. Loaded with a punchy Alnico humbucker and a flexible 3-band active EQ, the RAY34 absolutely nails that signature StingRay sound. Think big, thumping lows, tight mids and crisp, snappy highs — loads of tonal options to mess about with.
Fast feel, slick looks
This bass plays beautifully too. The body’s nicely contoured for comfort, while the roasted Maple neck feels super smooth and rock solid. Throw in a silky Rosewood fingerboard and 21 medium frets, and you’ve got a neck that’s perfect for everything from laid-back grooves to more technical runs.
Features
- Roasted Maple neck: Lightweight, stable and resistant to warping. It’s got a beautifully smooth feel too, and boosts resonance for a lively playing experience.
- Rosewood fingerboard: Adds warmth to your tone and feels great under the fingers.
- Alnico humbucker: A single Sterling-designed pickup gives you that signature ‘Ray punch, with rumbling low-end and bright, cutting treble.
- 3-band active preamp: Lets you boost or cut lows, mids and highs for ultimate control over your sound.
