Product Description
The Sire V7 Alder-5 New Gen in Candy Apple Red takes Sire’s acclaimed jazz-style five-string platform and refines it for modern players who demand comfort, flexibility and reliability. With its updated neck profile, simplified yet powerful preamp and slick stainless steel frets, this bass is built to deliver confident performance on stage, in the studio and everywhere in between.
Under the classic offset body and striking Candy Apple Red finish lies a thoughtfully upgraded instrument that responds to your touch, whether you prefer deep, supportive fingerstyle lines or articulate, cutting slap. The New Gen layout keeps things intuitive, letting you move seamlessly between active and passive operation so you can adapt your sound to any musical situation without overthinking your controls.
The New Gen neck is designed to feel familiar from the first note, with a comfortable C-shape profile and rolled Edgeless fingerboard edges that make long sets and extended practice sessions far less tiring on your hands. Stainless steel frets add a smooth, glassy feel under the fingers and stand up to years of heavy playing, keeping your intonation and feel consistent over time.
Visually, the V7 Alder-5 New Gen is every bit as impressive as it sounds. The Candy Apple Red finish, chrome hardware and clean dot inlays give it a timeless look that fits any stage. Combined with Sire’s precise build quality and practical feature set, this is a five-string that makes it easy to focus on your music, not your gear.
New Gen Neck for Effortless Playability
The updated C-shape neck with Edgeless rolled fingerboard edges is designed to sit naturally in your hand, reducing fatigue and making position shifts feel smooth and controlled. Whether you are navigating busy lines across all five strings or holding down simple grooves, the neck encourages relaxed, accurate playing.
Simplified Active/Passive Preamp Layout
The New Gen control layout removes unnecessary complexity, giving you a straightforward four-knob setup with a push/pull active/passive switch. This makes it quick and intuitive to move from a clean, transparent passive tone to a more sculpted active sound, helping you adapt to different genres and band mixes with minimal fuss.
Durable, Smooth Stainless Steel Frets
Stainless steel frets offer a slick playing surface and exceptional longevity, resisting wear far better than traditional fret materials. This means your bends, vibrato and intonation stay consistent over time, and the neck continues to feel fast and precise even after countless gigs and rehearsals.
Classic Offset Body with Modern Comfort
The familiar S-style offset body delivers a balanced feel whether you are standing or sitting, helping the bass sit comfortably against your body. Combined with the five-string layout, it gives you extended low-end range without sacrificing ergonomics, making it a versatile choice for modern styles that rely on deeper registers.
