Product Description
The Sire V7 Alder-4 New Gen is a modern J-style bass that takes everything players loved about the original V7 and refines it for even better feel, flexibility and reliability. With its updated neck profile, simplified but powerful preamp and slick stainless steel frets, this Dark Forest finish model is built to be a true workhorse for gigging bassists and studio players alike.
Designed with player feedback at its core, the V7 New Gen focuses on comfort and control. The neck has been reshaped for easier playing across the entire fingerboard, while the upgraded electronics give you instant access to both active and passive tones via a simple push/pull control. Add in the durability and smooth feel of stainless steel frets and you have a bass that is ready for serious use in any style of music.
The classic alder body and Sire S-style shape keep things familiar, delivering a balanced, versatile tone that sits perfectly in a mix. Whether you are laying down tight funk lines, deep soul grooves or modern pop and rock parts, the V7 Alder-4 New Gen offers the clarity, punch and comfort you need to perform at your best.
Visually, the Dark Forest finish gives this bass a sleek, contemporary look that stands out without being flashy. Combined with Sire's renowned build quality and attention to detail, the V7 Alder-4 New Gen is an inspiring instrument that feels far more expensive than its price tag suggests.
New Gen Neck
The updated neck on the V7 New Gen has been carefully reshaped for easier playing, with a comfortable profile that feels natural in the hand. This makes fast runs, position shifts and long sets less fatiguing, helping you play more accurately and expressively.
Refined Preamp with Active/Passive Control
The revised preamp removes the coil tap switch in favour of a straightforward four-knob layout with a push/pull active/passive control. This keeps the controls intuitive on stage while still giving you instant access to powerful active tones or classic passive sounds at the pull of a knob.
Stainless Steel Frets
Stainless steel frets offer a smoother feel under the fingers and exceptional durability. They resist wear far better than traditional fretwire, helping your V7 maintain accurate intonation and a slick playing surface even after years of regular use.
Classic Alder Body and S-Style Shape
The alder body and familiar S-style outline provide a comfortable feel and a balanced, adaptable tone. This combination helps the bass sit well in any mix, making it a reliable choice for a wide range of genres and playing situations.
