Product Description
The Sire V7 Alder 4 New Gen in Candy Apple Red takes Sire’s acclaimed jazz-style bass platform and refines it for modern players. With an updated neck profile, simplified yet powerful preamp and slick stainless steel frets, it is built to deliver effortless playability and a wide palette of tones, whether you are on stage, in the studio or rehearsing at home.
Balancing classic looks with contemporary performance, this V7 New Gen model offers a familiar feel with thoughtful upgrades that make a real difference in everyday use. From the rolled fingerboard edges that sit comfortably in the hand to the intuitive active and passive control layout, it is a bass that lets you focus on the music, not the instrument.
The Candy Apple Red finish gives it a bold, vintage inspired aesthetic that stands out under the lights, while the alder body and advanced electronics provide the versatility to cover everything from tight funk and punchy pop to smooth jazz and soulful R&B. If you want a workhorse four string that feels fast, sounds huge and looks the part, the V7 Alder 4 New Gen is ready to step up.
New Gen Neck for Easier Playing
The updated neck on the V7 New Gen is designed for comfort and speed. A familiar C shape profile combines with Sire’s Edgeless rolled fingerboard edges to remove any sharpness along the fretboard sides, helping your fretting hand glide smoothly up and down the neck. Whether you are playing intricate lines or holding down simple grooves, the improved ergonomics reduce fatigue and keep you playing longer.
Simplified Preamp with Active and Passive Modes
Sire have streamlined the V7 New Gen electronics to a simple, intuitive four knob layout with a push and pull active and passive switch. The removal of the coil tap switch keeps the control surface clean and easy to navigate on the fly, while still giving you access to a broad range of tones. Switch to active mode when you need extra punch and shaping, or pull back to passive for a more traditional, organic response.
Stainless Steel Frets
Stainless steel frets offer a smooth playing feel and excellent durability. They resist wear far better than traditional fret materials, helping your V7 New Gen maintain accurate intonation and a clean, buzz free setup over time. Bends and vibrato feel slick under the fingers, making expressive playing more controlled and consistent.
Classic Jazz Style Versatility
With its alder body and Sire electronics, the V7 Alder 4 New Gen delivers the articulate, versatile character that jazz style basses are known for. From tight, defined lows to clear, singing highs, it sits comfortably in almost any mix. The Candy Apple Red finish adds a touch of classic flair, making this bass as visually striking as it is sonically flexible.
