Product Description
The Sire V3-4 New Gen Bass in Candy Apple Red takes the much-loved V3 platform and refines it for even better playability and tone. With a simplified 2-band active preamp, upgraded Alnico pickups and a more comfortable neck and body profile, it is a hugely versatile workhorse that feels great in the hands and sits perfectly in any mix.
Whether you are just starting out or looking for a reliable gigging bass, the V3-4 New Gen delivers a wide range of usable sounds with an intuitive control layout. The active/passive push-pull control lets you switch instantly between modern punch and classic passive warmth, while the rolled-edge fingerboard and tinted neck finish give it a slick, premium feel that belies its price.
Refined New Gen Neck and Body
The V3-4 New Gen features a slightly reshaped neck and body profile designed to sit more naturally against your body and in your fretting hand. The comfortable C-shape Canadian hard maple neck and ergonomic Jazz-style body help reduce fatigue on longer sessions, making this bass a joy to play both seated and standing.
Simplified 2-Band Active Preamp
Sire have reworked the onboard electronics with a new, streamlined 2-band preamp. With just bass and treble boost or cut, you can dial in everything from tight, articulate slap tones to fat, rounded fingerstyle sounds quickly and easily, without getting lost in complex controls.
Upgraded Alnico Pickups
The Marcus Standard J-Revolution Alnico pickups provide a warmer, more expressive voice than typical ceramic designs. They capture the nuances of your playing with a smooth top end and full low mids, giving you a musical, responsive tone that works for soul, funk, rock, pop and more.
Active and Passive Flexibility
A push/pull function on the bass control lets you switch between active and passive modes on the fly. Use active mode when you need extra punch and EQ shaping, then pull back to passive for a more traditional, vintage-flavoured sound and a simple volume and tone response.
Features
- New Gen Neck and Body Profile - The refined C-shape neck and updated body contour make the V3-4 more comfortable than ever, helping your hands move freely across the fretboard and reducing strain during long rehearsals, gigs or studio sessions.
- Simplified 2-Band Preamp EQ - The new Sire Standard 2-band preamp gives you fast, musical tone shaping with just bass and treble controls, so you can quickly adapt your sound to different songs and rooms without overthinking your settings.
- Alnico Magnet Pickups - The Marcus Standard J-Revolution Alnico pickups deliver a warmer, more organic tone with enhanced dynamics, letting you go from subtle, expressive lines to aggressive grooves while always retaining clarity and character.
- Active/Passive Push-Pull Control - The push/pull bass knob switches between active and passive operation, giving you two distinct tonal platforms in one instrument and the reassurance of a passive mode whenever you want a classic, straightforward sound.
