Product Description
The Sire P7 Alder 4 New Gen in Antique White is a modern take on the classic PJ bass, refined using real player feedback from the V7, V7 Vintage and P7 2nd Gen ranges. With a more comfortable neck, simplified control layout and updated electronics, it delivers a huge range of usable tones while staying intuitive and easy to play on stage, in the studio or at home.
Combining a North American alder body with Marcus Super PJ Revolution pickups and the Marcus Heritage 3 preamp, this bass covers everything from punchy Precision-style thump to articulate Jazz snap. Stainless steel frets, lightweight hardware and Lumiinlay position markers round out a workhorse instrument that feels slick, plays fast and stays reliable gig after gig.
Refined New Gen Neck
The New Gen C-shape neck has been redesigned for easier playing, offering a comfortable, familiar feel that suits both traditional and modern techniques. The Edgeless rolled fretboard edges help the neck sit naturally in your hand, reducing fatigue during long sets and making position shifts feel smooth and effortless.
Updated, Player-Friendly Controls
Sire have simplified the control layout, removing the coil tap switch and optimising the knob arrangement for smoother operation. You still get deep tone-shaping options via the Marcus Heritage 3 preamp and pickup blender, but with a cleaner, more intuitive interface that is quick to understand and easy to adjust mid-song.
Enhanced Visibility and Durability
Lumiinlay dot position markers provide improved visibility on dark stages, helping you keep your bearings when the lights go down. Stainless steel frets offer a slick feel under the fingers and are highly resistant to wear, giving you long-lasting precision intonation and a consistently smooth playing surface.
Expressive New Gen Electronics
The Marcus Super PJ Revolution pickup set has been re-voiced for the New Gen series, delivering a richer and more expressive sound. Paired with the Marcus Heritage 3 preamp and active/passive switching, you can move from vintage-inspired warmth to modern clarity with ease, tailoring your tone to any genre or playing situation.
Features
- New Gen C-Shape Neck with Edgeless Fretboard - The updated neck profile and rolled fretboard edges provide a fast, comfortable feel that suits a wide range of playing styles, helping you play more cleanly and confidently across the entire 34 inch scale.
- Marcus Super PJ Revolution Pickups with Heritage 3 Preamp - The re-voiced PJ pickup set and flexible preamp deliver everything from classic punch to modern hi-fi clarity, so you can dial in precise tones for studio work, live gigs and practice sessions alike.
- Stainless Steel Frets and Lightweight Tuners - Hard-wearing stainless frets maintain a smooth feel and accurate intonation over time, while premium lightweight open-gear tuners help keep the bass well balanced on the strap and stable in tuning.
- Lumiinlay Position Markers for Dark Stages - Glow-in-the-dark Lumiinlay dots make it easier to see your fret positions under low lighting, giving you extra confidence during gigs where stage visibility is limited.
