Sire L5 Electric Guitar in Candy Apple Red

The Sire L5 in Candy Apple Red is a classic set-neck single cut designed for players who want traditional feel, familiar tones and rock-solid build quality in a sensible mid-price package. With its mahogany body and neck, maple top, dual humbuckers and 24.75 inch scale, it delivers the punch, warmth and sustain you would expect from a timeless L-style guitar, wrapped up in a sleek modern playing experience.

Under the striking Candy Apple Red finish you will find a carefully chosen tonewood recipe that balances depth and clarity, making the L5 just as comfortable handling crunchy rock riffs as it is smooth blues lines and articulate cleans. A comfortable C-shape neck with Sire’s Edgeless rolled fretboard edges invites long playing sessions, while the flexible electronics layout gives you everything from full-blooded humbucker roar to brighter, single coil-style sparkle at the pull of a knob.

Whether you are stepping up from your first guitar or looking for a reliable workhorse with a traditional voice, the L5 keeps things focused on the fundamentals: feel, tone and tuning stability. Chrome hardware, a modern Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminium stop tailpiece complete a specification that is built to perform night after night, session after session.

Classic L-Style Construction

The L5 is built around a familiar L-shaped single cut body with a set-in mahogany neck, giving you the sustain, resonance and comfortable upper fret access that players have relied on for decades. The single binding on the top adds a tasteful vintage-inspired touch that looks right at home under stage lights.

Mahogany Body with Maple Top

A mahogany body paired with a hard maple top provides a tried-and-tested tonal foundation. Mahogany brings warmth, midrange punch and natural sustain, while the maple top tightens the low end and adds definition to your attack, helping chords stay clear and lead lines cut through a busy mix.

Comfortable C-Shape Neck with Edgeless Fingerboard

The mahogany C-shape neck feels instantly familiar in the hand, suiting everything from thumb-over blues bends to more technical rock playing. Sire’s Rosewood Edgeless fingerboard, with rolled fretboard edges and medium jumbo frets, offers a smooth, broken-in feel that makes position shifts and vibrato effortless.

Versatile LC Standard-2 Humbuckers with Coil Split

A pair of LC Standard-2 humbuckers delivers a wide palette of usable tones, from thick, singing sustain in the bridge to warm, rounded neck sounds for rhythm and lead. With a 3-way toggle, independent volume and tone controls, plus push-pull coil split on the tone knobs, you can quickly move from full humbucker power to brighter, more percussive single coil-style textures.

Stable Modern Hardware

The Sire Modern Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminium stop tailpiece provide a solid anchor point for the strings, promoting tuning stability and consistent intonation across the neck. Paired with Sire standard tuners and gold speed knobs for quick adjustments, the hardware is designed to stay out of your way and let you focus on playing.

• Mahogany Body with Hard Maple Top - The combination of a mahogany body and hard maple top delivers a rich, sustaining core tone with added clarity and snap. This makes the L5 equally capable of handling thick overdriven sounds and articulate clean passages without getting muddy.
• Comfortable C-Shape Set Neck - A mahogany C-shape neck with a 24.75 inch scale length offers a familiar, easy-playing feel and slightly slinkier string tension. The set-in construction enhances sustain and resonance, giving your notes a singing quality that responds well to expressive playing.
• LC Standard-2 Humbuckers with Coil Split - Dual LC Standard-2 humbuckers provide powerful, noise-resistant output for rock, blues and beyond. With push-pull coil split on the tone controls, you can instantly access brighter, more single coil-like tones, expanding your sonic options without changing guitars.
• Modern Tune-O-Matic and Aluminium Stop Tailpiece - The Sire Modern Tune-O-Matic bridge and lightweight aluminium stop tailpiece offer precise intonation and reliable tuning stability. Combined with chrome hardware and gold speed knobs, the L5 is built for consistent performance and quick on-the-fly adjustments.
