Product Description
The Sire F10 Dx 5 is a premium modern single cut active 5 string bass, built for players who want boutique level feel, tone and aesthetics without the boutique price tag. With its Swamp Ash body, striking Natural Spalted Maple top and neck thru 5 piece Maple and Mahogany neck, it delivers huge sustain, superb balance and a refined playing experience that suits everything from fusion and gospel to modern rock and pop sessions.
Loaded with Marcus Custom H Revolution pickups and the powerful yet musical Heritage 3 HD preamp, this bass offers a wide palette of usable sounds, from tight, articulate fingerstyle to deep, smooth chords and cutting slap. The Ebony Edgeless fingerboard, 24 stainless frets and Marcus Heavymass Custom bridge complete a specification that sits at the top of the F10 line, making this the ideal choice if you need a reliable, modern workhorse with a boutique edge.
Modern Single Cut Design with Neck Thru Sustain
The deluxe modern single cut body shape is paired with a neck thru construction, where the 5 piece Maple and Mahogany neck runs the full length of the instrument. This gives the F10 Dx 5 outstanding sustain and note focus, with a smooth, even response right up to the 24th fret. The single cut design also adds extra rigidity and stability, helping the low B string stay tight and defined while improving overall tuning consistency on long gigs and sessions.
Swamp Ash Body with Natural Spalted Maple Top
A Swamp Ash body provides a lively, resonant acoustic character with a clear low end and airy highs, ideal for modern bass tones that need to sit perfectly in a mix. The Natural Spalted Maple top not only looks stunning on stage and in the studio, it also adds a touch of brightness and definition to your sound. The result is a bass that feels responsive under the fingers and delivers a sophisticated, articulate voice across all five strings.
Ebony Edgeless Fingerboard and Stainless Frets
The Ebony Edgeless fingerboard on the 5 string model features rolled fretboard edges for a smooth, broken in feel the moment you pick it up. Combined with 24 medium sized stainless steel frets, you get slick playability, clean bends and long term durability with minimal fret wear. Whether you are playing fast, technical lines or wide interval chords, the comfortable C shape neck and 12 inch radius make it easy to move around the board with confidence.
Marcus Custom H Revolution Pickups and Heritage 3 HD Preamp
The Marcus Custom H Revolution humbuckers with wooden covers are voiced for rich, modern clarity, capturing every nuance of your playing while keeping noise to a minimum. Paired with the Marcus Heritage 3 HD preamp, you have detailed control over your sound via Volume and passive Tone, a pickup Blender, three band EQ with sweepable mids and a pickup variation switch. From tight, punchy bridge tones to warm, full neck sounds and everything in between, the F10 Dx 5 is ready for any contemporary style.
