Relab Development Q82 Essentials - ESD

Relab Development Q82 Essentials distils the lush, natural resonance of a revered early-80s hardware reverb into a streamlined plug-in that is fast, musical and incredibly easy to use. You get the same premium ambience and long, luxurious tails as the flagship Q82, but in a focused interface that keeps you in the creative zone and away from menu-diving.

Inspired by a legendary studio unit that helped define the sound of countless classic records, Q82 Essentials captures the authentic feel and quirks of the original without the cost, maintenance or complexity. With carefully curated presets, intuitive controls and highly efficient DSP, it is ideal for producers, mix engineers and composers who want world-class reverb that simply works on any session.

Flagship Sound, Streamlined

Q82 Essentials is built on the same core technology as Relab’s premium Q82, a meticulous re-creation of a much-loved 80s hardware reverb known for its realistic ambience and long decay times. Advanced machine learning has been used to analyse the original unit in microscopic detail, so you get the same depth, movement and musical character, complete with the subtle imperfections that made the hardware so inspiring.

Effortless Control

Instead of overwhelming you with pages of parameters, Q82 Essentials focuses on the controls you actually need to shape your space quickly. The intuitive interface makes it easy to dial in anything from tight, supportive rooms to expansive, cinematic tails in seconds, helping you stay focused on performance, tone and arrangement rather than technical tweaking.

Curated Presets for Instant Inspiration

A hand-picked selection of Room, Chamber, Studio and Club presets gives you instant access to versatile, mix-ready spaces. Whether you are adding subtle depth to vocals, placing drums in a believable room or bathing synths in lush ambience, these presets provide a fast starting point that you can easily refine to suit your track.

Classic Character, Modern Convenience

Owning the original hardware today would mean hunting down a rare unit and investing heavily in purchase and upkeep. Q82 Essentials delivers that same iconic sound in a compact, affordable plug-in that drops straight into your existing workflow. It runs efficiently on modern Mac and Windows systems and integrates with popular DAWs, giving you reliable, recallable reverb on every session.
