Relab Development LX480 Essentials - ESD

The Relab Development LX480 Essentials plug-in distils one of the most revered digital reverbs of all time into a streamlined, easy to use package. Featuring four iconic algorithms lifted from the legendary hardware, it gives you instant access to rich plates, immersive halls, natural rooms and subtle ambience that sit effortlessly in any mix.

Carefully modelled from the original mid-80s unit, LX480 Essentials captures the width, depth and complex modulation that made the hardware a studio staple on countless hit records and film scores. Instead of wading through pages of parameters, you get a focused, modern interface that lets you dial in lush, polished spaces in seconds, whether you are mixing vocals, drums, guitars or full productions in stereo.

Each of the four algorithms has its own distinct character, from the famous bright, glossy plate that flatters vocals, to the smooth, cohesive hall that glues a mix together. The ambience and room modes excel at adding believable space and distance without cluttering your arrangement, making them ideal for drums, dialogue and sound design. However you work, LX480 Essentials gives you the sound of a flagship reverb without the complexity or the original hardware price tag.

On top of the core algorithms, you also benefit from curated presets crafted by top mixers such as Richard Furch and Joe Carrell. These provide instant, mix-ready starting points that showcase what the plug-in can do on real-world sessions, helping you move quickly from inspiration to finished track. If you have ever wanted the luxurious, three-dimensional sound of a classic 480-style reverb in a compact, affordable plug-in, LX480 Essentials is designed to get you there fast.

Four Classic Algorithms

At the heart of LX480 Essentials are four meticulously modelled algorithms based on one of the most widely used digital reverbs ever made. Fat Plate, Medium Hall, Small Ambience and Large Wood Room cover everything from bold, characterful effects to subtle, natural spaces, so you can shape depth and dimension across your entire mix without reaching for multiple plug-ins.

Streamlined, Easy Workflow

Rather than overwhelming you with deep menus and obscure parameters, LX480 Essentials focuses on the controls you actually need. This streamlined approach means you can get to a great sound quickly, stay in the creative zone and keep your attention on the music, while still enjoying the unmistakable tone of a high-end studio reverb.

Mix-Ready Presets From Top Engineers

Signature presets from world-class mixers such as Richard Furch and Joe Carrell give you instant access to professional reverb sounds. These curated settings provide tried and tested starting points for vocals, drums, instruments and post-production, helping you achieve polished results even under tight deadlines.
